If Garcia really did lose 10 pounds in the 24 hours before the weigh-in, then he's in trouble. I remember strong favorite Bobby Chacon spending the night in a sauna the night before he defended his featherweight title against Ruben Olivares. Chacon had nothing when the opening bell rang and was taken out in just 2 rounds. Losing a lot of weight right before a fight is a recipe for disaster.

Interviewer probably started watching boxing a few months ago. Jim Lampley may be in the top-10, but there were other better announcers/analysts. The fact is Lampley was quite biased in the later years at HBO, always shamelessly favoring the house fighter. Plenty of examples. Lampley did not end his career well.
