I have just found these recordings of Jim Lea and I have a new found respect for the quiet man of Slade. Unreal, Jim Lea you are a star, could of been huge after Slade but due credit to Jim, didn't want the attention. Well, after seeing this and fully realising his talent, Jim Lea can rest assured that we now know he was brilliant, just brilliant. Didn't it look like he was having a ball, maybe he was thought that one day he would lose the love. Better it be sweet than have it turn sour. Well done Jim Lea, well done.

I never knew this side of Slade. Just discovered this. Good to see different aspects of the origins of this song. In the late 90's the QR cover of this song was my anthem to be a throwback to the music we had only forgotten. While everyone else had super short or buzzed hair, I grew mine long. I always appreciate the history of the hits and things we cane to love, and sometimes especially the side we never knew like this one. Thank you for showing.
