I love your work, Jim. I collected comics in the late 80s and 90s so I knew who you were waaay before I found you on the internet. I just recently came across your videos as I am drawing more lately and I love playing videos of other people drawing while I work. I also love hearing you talk about process and the sturggles of life as an artist. You might feel like you're bitching, but it's real and is good for other artists to hear. I can't help but relate with regards to the stress of creating new content and being influenced by what gets likes. ultimately drawing is like yoga. It frees our mind and sharpens our skills. Try not to let the public influence you too much. This is your practice at the end of the day. In this video you talk about the struggles of posting new content vs reposting something as new content when it isn't new since it feels like no one would know the difference and you're probably right Lol, It's all good. I'm stoked to see old and new content! Keep up the great work, my dude. (probably could have written on a more recent video, but I felt inspired by this one in particular.)

Going back to the conversation of why comics aren't big like they used to be, I think it's because there just isn't hardly that much commercialism promoting comic books, or just books in general. The only reason I even know when there will be another issue coming out is because I go out of my way to follow people in the comic book community to get the info. To people first getting into comics I think is pretty difficult because they just don't know where to start. I wish comics were promoted more, it can get a lot more people into literature and art.

I'm an old school Conan fan ( Buscema/Chan) and while I've read Hush, etc. it's a little too "roided up" for me, every panel looks too stand-alone, like a work in itself, just like these sketches on youtube. I appreciate Jim's creative process though and definitely learn a lot watching.
