The court decided all PTL profits and remaining monies were to go to all the creditors who petitioned their chapter bankruptcy. So he just bought his daughter a condo with money stolen from his people, and not turned over to the government.

I’ve never had much of an opinion of Jim and his brood. I worked nights in the mid 80’s and would watch PTL for a lark while getting dressed. Tammy Sue amused me. Her hair, the Depends she used for shoulder pads and tarantula legs that served as her eyelashes. Runny mascara was her call to arms. Not to mention her vibrato when she sang. Tough, but amusing. Jim looked cheesy and his money mongering was obvious. I guess in a weird way I understood. It was the same weird way why I wasn’t surprised when he was arrested for all those many many charges. And Jessica Hahn. I don’t care for the very narrow and rigid philosophy ascribed by the Assemblies of God church. My father is “born again” and found his rebirth in this church. His unyielding belief system is intolerant and that’s the principal reason I take issue with this church. As a lapsed Catholic, I’m not exactly sure what I believe in now. But I do find it odd, that my father....who at one time was very gifted at sinning and eventually, ardently embraced his faith’s belief in Forgiveness , can’t stand Jim Bakker, who after jail time might not be a member of the church, but still preaches something very similar its narrow cast dogma. Benny Hinn and whatever magic he pretends lives in his hands remains far more repugnant than Jim could ever be.

I have read some of the comments and what comes to mind is Jesus writing on the ground when the multitude brought a woman who was taken in adultery. I wonder if Jesus exposed your sins for the world to read, how would you feel? I'm sure some of you are professing Christians - Did Jesus give you grace? Did His Blood cover your sins? Does he not have power to cover Jim's sins? I have been a horrible sinner, but I have been forgiven. I'm not the same person I used to be, and hopefully you're not either! Our sins are covered by the Blood of Jesus, and when we start digging up people's sins, we've put our hands in the Blood of Jesus, declaring it's not powerful enough to cover sins. Please take a moment to be grateful for the forgiveness you have received, and leave the Judgement to Christ.
