He was a kickass QB… HE added so much excitement to the game back in the 80’s

The two teams have met each other 27 times (including 2 postseason games), with the Dallas Cowboys winning 15 games and the Chicago Bears winning 12 games. Dallas Cowboys lead series 15-12-0 Dallas vs Chicago

MadMac was underrated
@charlesrussell63052 жыл бұрын
Not really. Availability is a players #1 attribute...Mac was OFF the field too much to be rated above what he is/was. Although I'm not a Bears fan...I do believe they could have won more than 1 in that 80's run...but as I said in another post the 49ers and NFC east was pretty good in that decade as well.

Hey! What do you get when you trade half your team for a running back? Half a team, that's what!

When the offense got on par with the defense then no team could beat the Bears. Here the Bears were so dominant that Dallas didn't have a chance. How the F at 1:00 that wasn't called a for a 15 yard penalty is mind blowing. Singletary went head first and with the crown of his helmet. Today Mike would be given a huge fine and suspended a few games. Hell, he would be thrown out of the game today.

How did they only win one SB?

The 49ers and the beast teams from the east were pretty darn good also. Very few teams could play against that defense.

Because that season (& team) was truly catching lightning in a bottle.

The defense kept this team together and McMahon just couldn't stay healthy. When McMahon started the Bears won nearly all the time. He had a great record when he was a starter. The Bears should have at least been playing in the 87 Super Bowl if they kept that 14-0 lead against the Redskins.

Jealousy, shenanigans, and payoffs. It takes a toll when a Quarterback gets tossed violently on his head two seconds after a play. Imagine the pounding Walter must have taken by the time he retired.

McMahon never stayed healthy. Revolving door at QB.

Neal Anderson was a killer RB, wish they had someone like him now. He was also an incredible punt coverage man which earned him a place on the roster while Sweetness was still the main RB.
@SECRETARIATguy224Ай бұрын
Uh . . . no. Anderson was _not_ on the roster _just because_ of punt coverage. He was drafted in 1986 specifically to be the heir apparent to Payton.
