This man is a saint, a genius, a revolutionary. It's people like him who shake up the system by questioning why things can't be done in a different way, a better way that helps all living creatures. Noel is one of the most inspirational figures of our time.

I presented to myself the choice between human medicine and veterinary medicine too. I chose veterinary medicine to give a voice to those that couldn't speak for themselves and to bridge the gap between human and vet med. I cannot believe I have only discovered Noel Fitzpatrick a few days ago. My god, this guy has become my hero and everything I aspire to be as a vet once I graduate.

Good on you. I went in to human medicine and reached the dizzy heights of success but I so regret this decision. I wish I had gone in to vet medicine. I have always been an animal lover. Jen A. Wren I wholeheartedly concur. And I'm not even the world's biggest animal lover. Of course, I love animals. We've had dogs as pets for many years, but I wouldn't go so far as to say that I'm immensely passionate about all of the world's animals, or cry everytime I see a cute puppy or cat like I see some people do on videos etc. However, I find Noel Fitzpatrick's love of what he does, and animals, and the veterinary medicine world - and the world as a whole, including human medicine, and humanity, and people - and the humane way that people treat loved ones, and forests, and animals and birds etc. truly inspiring and heartwarming. He's in my book of the 10 toppest blokes and blokettes to walk the earth right now. He's a top human being, with a top star rating. He can be rude, condescending, arrogant, distasteful, overtly wild, inappropriately humorous, but diametrically opposite those human traits, above all, he's an unbelievably beautiful person. He is an enigma sometimes, but nothing can hide the true gift that he's been given to care, and care deeply, about the world, animals, humans, and he chooses to express his love of nature, through his undiminished compassion, skillful mind, hands, and scalpels. I love him as a person, and a human being. I'm going to find out more about the Humanimal Trust, and try and raise money for it.

What a man - he is determined to BE his true self, using his work to bring this extraordinary message to as wide an audience as possible: that ANY job we do HAS to be done in tandem with your deeper self, the love that I am (also the creative part), and THAT ALONE gives my work, or activity, meaning. And through this our work will bring us to the realisation that we are all ONE on a deeper level, and swipe aside any superficial things we think are important. We will 'know' each other.

His program Supervet is one of my favourites. Watching him take on and perform complicated and challenging surgery on animals where otherwise there would be no hope, then seeing the wonderful outcomes is some of the most uplifting viewing imaginable. What he does takes awesome courage, love and incredible skill and knowledge, and he has all three in spades. As well as being a most interesting person to listen to, he comes across as a great humanitarian.

An amazing vet and so thoughtful about veterinary medicine and its role in the world -- thoughts I have never been exposed to before. I love watching Supervet. I watch several other vet shows too, but Supervet is really cutting edge surgery, not just the usual health care of dogs and cats, but those in dire need of back surgery, hip replacement, and so on. Wow.

Broke my heart to hear the super vet has to deal with angry pet owners abusing him because he tried his best and couldn't save a pet. Nothing in life is a guarantee and to have a go at him for trying to save an animal is wrong. He did his best and comes up with issues like the pets age. He is amazing in helping pets and will always fight for every pet like it belongs to him. Added pressure and stress isn't needed for him or his team and if god forbid the animal doesn't pull through you know he's done his very best. You don't need to slap him in the face. He's a top bloke

I understand his drive and passion for his vocation in life. My husband was married to his profession as a doctor. I knew and understood I would be second. He was on call 24 hrs a day 365 days a year. His phone was never turned off. I would drive the car so he was always free to give his full attention to the hospital or patient or whoever needed his opinion or help. I would drive him into the hospital at any time of day, I also worked but knew of his passion and dedication. So Noel there is someone out there who is willing to support you and understand they will have meals alone or miss sleep to support you, you just haven't met them yet. Noel keep your heart open to the possibility

Absolutely amazing, and he shouldn’t have the pressure of “people” that put undue pressure on him to save the dogs! I have one, a beautiful German Shepherd, with a growing sacorma on his wrist--in the United States there’s almost nobody that can do this kind of thing so far? It’s about love !!! I would agree with the possibility failure and be ok with that. My dog saw a kitten I tried to save a my dog and I watched this frail kitten die in my arms. Thank goodness for someone like this that cares but I think that dog owner should just cheer him on and allow the fact that not everybody’s dog/cat can be saved! All the best

I love this man and what he stands for. Maybe in years to come there will be an NHS for pets some day. Animals big and small deserve the same treatment humans get and it should be funded. Dont get me wrong I love my pets and I will pay whatever is necessary for them. However too many times I see owners not having choices because they do not have the funds. Everybody has this mentality of "if you can't afford the vet then don't own a pet" but I ask you this..... look at how many people in America struggle to pay for there own medical bills. Should that mean then that if they can't afford medical treatment then they should not be entitled to live? I hope human medicine and animal medicine can come together in the way he invisions but also that these amazing animals also get equal rights as we do when it comes down to funding.

@taketimeout2share7 жыл бұрын
I think we don't know the answer to that very important question but this is a step in the right direction. That is the important bit. Its better than saying all pigs or dogs are only worthy of our disdain. Or that man was created in gods image and all animals are under our dominion. The balance is never going to be found while we (mankind)are too many. That is the problem. That is the balance failure.
