Luckily, I was there when this impromptu performance occurred. Listening to this song during my high school days, I thought "hey - that's a cute little ditty" on adolescent love". I didn't realize till now how moving it could be, despite the "mushiness" and simplicity of the melody and the lyrics. "And all of a sudden little things have bigger meanings" - sometimes the simplets, silliest gestures could convey our most profound, innermost feelings. And that gets me teary-eyed (like Jim) 🥲🥲🥲❤👏
