Also, have seen Jim play several times since with his various bands, Ides, Pride of Lions and the rock retrospective outings. We had nice conversations after the shows and he is a humble, nice person. Deserves everything he’s accomplished through dedication and lots of hard work over many decades.

Jim is a great guy and a true decent person….great songwriter. Saw him with Survivor very early on. My brother’s band. White Lie, opened for Survivor I believe at Night Gallery in Waukegan way back in the day. And as i recall, the Ides played at Zion Benton High School early 70s where my wife and I attended and he’s still rocking it!

Reminds me of sitting in your apt in Riveriside listening to you play your old Gibson. (I always wished I bought that guitar from you) . Always thought you were best with just an acoustic guitar. I still have a reel-to-reel tape of yours with you singing "Boxcar" and "Stuntman" and a song about Karen -- Your ole friend, John Deegan

true....Vehicle is about his wife to be hitching rides everywhere in Jims car when they were in high school. He says at most of his shows this is who he wrote it about...............

Hello Jim, I'm still thinking of the evening you came to pick me up with Karen, Philip when you performed at Morton West! I believe your " Vehicle" was a Forest Green Datsun like a 280ZX type but I don't think that model was out yet?I know it was a dark green little sports car and we crammed in.That was my very first concert that I remember like yesterday.I can't remember yesterday but you were the man!
