My old man watched WWF in the atitude Era, I was born 93. I remember him taping over my cartoons for classic matches. I never followed WWE growing up honestly after the name change, but, listening to Jim Ross, damn. The moment I heard his voice was nothing but nostalgia. LEGEND in an sports commentary. Id love it to hear him do the NBA, the enthusiasm that man brings is untouched by our commentators.

You forgot to mention The Undertaker. While never being a big fan of The Undertaker....I think it goes without question, he was the most popular/famous in Professional Wrestling history. Without him, The Attitude Era wouldn't be what we remember is being, the most epic era in Professional Wrestling's history.

@theTRUman
@theTRUman 7 жыл бұрын
The Undertaker was the ultimate villain. He was the holder of "The Streak", with a 21-0 Wrestlemania record. He was part of some of the most iconic matches during in WWF history. And he wrestled for over 30 years, all the way up to his 50's. That dude had soooo much to do with the most popular era in Pro Wrestling history, and that's a big deal. He may not have been the most beloved....but EVERYONE knew who he was, and there was no fight he didn't have a chance at winning, whether it be against Stone Cold, The Rock, Kane, Kurt Angle, ect. Andre ...he was WAY more popular than you realize. If you disagree, fine. But to act like it's not even a discussion...you're way off base. DLKnightstick ...no offense, but that is prob the worst description of The Undertaker you could come up with. I suppose I get what you're tryyyying to say.....but you're just terribly wrong.
@heelinoff2472
@heelinoff2472 7 жыл бұрын
the TRUman I think there are two distinctly different discussions happening here. what you REALLY meant is that the Undertaker had the most successful, important and impactful GIMMICK of all time...I would 100% agree. Yes, Austin, The Rock, Hogan were all wildly popular, enough to gain necessary mainstream attention, but their "characters" were really just versions of themselves turned up to the max...you can say the same about Cena and Brock post attitude era. But if not for the gamble Vince took on "the Undertaker" GIMMICK, the business would probably not have been lucrative enough for those other guys to flourish into the 21st century.
@theTRUman
@theTRUman 7 жыл бұрын
Heelin Off24/7 my whole case, and every point Ive made to support that case, is saying I firmly believe that The Undertaker should be on the Pro Wrestling Mt Rushmore...meaning , if The Undertaker isnt theeee most iconic Pro Wrestler of all time, he is definitely top 4. #1 can be debated....Stone Cold was the definition of badass, and The Rock was the definition of electric. However...The Undertaer being Top 4...I think that goes without question. The Attitude Era defines Pro Wrestling....and The Undertaker helped make The Attitude Era.

I lost my virginity in JR's old hometown of Westville, Oklahoma. Lol If you even want to call that place a town. There's literally nothing there except a few houses, a liquor store, and a gas station. I live pretty close to there, and even closer to Mickey Mantle's tiny hometown of Spavinaw, Oklahoma. Hard to believe that those two legends came from near where I live, in the middle of nowhere.

Great interview. Only thing you mentioned Cena and no mention of The Undertaker. Undertaker is a much bigger star then Cena.

My top 5 in no order Stone cold Rock Hbk Undertaker Triple H I say triple H cause he just plays the bad guy the best. I hated him growing up he did it so well. I loved to hate him and now as an adult I’ve come to appreciate how good he was at his job and the role he played in contributing to The reason I love the 4 names I’ve placed above him. ❤️

I really enjoyed this video. Love both of em, was surprised Colin was a fan of wrestling and that he was knowledgeable about it. The only problem I had was that it seemed really rushed. You didn't really stay on any one subject too long. I really wish this was longer.
