Yea Sammy. I first heard them when I had the song “Break Out” come up in my rotation when I was in the air in Jacksonville, Florida. The phones lit up when I put it on. People wanted to know who that was!

that lovely Now you're not here intro with the flute in a summer madness kind of vibe was a blast... I keep saying, what hooks me up more and more with SOS is their whole music taste goes beyond their songs, and puts them in an era of music I loved so much, Motown, soul, R&B form the 70s. Insanely talented and enjoying what they do and love the most...

I hope you read comments. When I first heard this song, I was in an adolescent ward of a mental hospital. I had tried to kill myself, nearly succeeded. I was bullied for everything, abused by everyone. But VH1 belted out this. Now I was an MTV kind, but VH1 was all we were allowed on the ward. Somehow, in some way Breakout made me believe I could go on. I could come out, I could go to college, I had a future. My "Break" from society saved my life in so many ways, and you were one of the things that helped me realize I can thrive. I'm worthy. I owe you so much. I'm 50, and I'm still here. I have BPD, but I keep the faith. I know my biggest break could still happen.

The flugelhorn on the first number seems to be channeling Burt Bacharach. Anyway, I’d always blithely assumed this group had appeared out of nowhere with one hit laced with studio musicians then disappeared into oblivion forever. I happened to hear that one hit in the grocery store the other day, and since it was so much better than the {expletive deleted] that usually gets played nowadays, I thought I’d investigate. I’m glad I did. It turns out there’s much more and better than the one hit and real accomplished musicians. Two thumbs up.

Martin, I couldn't agree more, less you bringing the President of the U.S. into your, otherwise right on remarks, as many believe that a standing President deserves respect. He is far from perfect, but no politician is, so how about showing some respect to this man, as he loves his country. I won't get into the Biden and cohorts leading to Socialism and even a Marxist agenda, as the bigger the govt. will always equate to the smaller the people. The George Soros type individuals who run the media in the states have purposely created the social and racial division which is currently present. These are the elite who have wanted, and long planned for, the U.S. to be in its current turmoil. I certainly realize that these issues are not exclusive to the states, but I am responding to our President being mentioned. All of the problems mentioned, less Covid19, are a direct result of the media outlets being controlled by these elite who have their own, very ugly narratives. There was a time when we trusted and respected our news agencies, but that time has long gone by. I am not certain regarding the BBC, but I have talked with a few friends who mention that their credibility has also suffered greatly. Healthcare for everyone is important, but not if there isn't a choice of ones provider, or one has to wait a year for a necessary surgery. It goes much deeper than this, but suffice it to say, the plan for the states is different than other pseudo successful ones. Ok, sorry about that political message, but I will never think it appropriate to trash a standing President. Whether someone approves, or disapproves, the office and the man (non-gender specific) is due respect from its citizens. I just found this awesome little rehearsal, as I was searching out some of my favorite tunes. They sound awesome, not to mention that everyone looks fantastic. I am sure that my earlier remarks will garner some nasty feedback, but that was not my intention. Peace always...

@@fernandoguevara8258, and I believe that there are still some neo Nazis that are willing to destroy Germany with another war. Study history for once, will you!?! The 250,000 women, children and elderly that died in the WWII bombing of Dresden should be remembered! Following a megalomaniac like Trump isn't what Swing Out Sister fans do. I'm old enough to remember the 918 people that followed Jim Jones. I see a similarity in the followers of Trump.

Corrine and the guys are a tremendous melodic jazz ensemble. Her voice reminds me of a young Sandie Shaw when I was a wee laddie! In particular singing hits like "Monsieur Dupont and "Girl Don"t Come" but with a modern jazz feel, rather than the Bacharach arrangement. For myself, Swing Out Sister are Artistically timeless......
