I've always found Corinne Drewery to be the epitome of the 80s-her style, her grace, her music. It was 80s sophistication at its best to me. The first 2 Swing Out Sisters painted a certain image of the 80s I aspired to, then and now. I got my chops busted by my buddies over my intrigue of her and her band back then. They'd really get a rush to see I have all my Swing Out Sister stuff on my iPod in my ear at the gym while I'm working out. I can look and listen to Corrine talk or sing all day.

Thanks for this cos I missed the first couple of minutes when it was on TV :-) Isn't she a lovely, classy woman - and looks EXACTLY the same now as she did then!! Time has treated her so kindly! Just bought 3 of their CDs (I had the original vinyl LP of the first album back in '87) and would love to see them at the Lowry, but I'm on a tight budget. Still who knows... Yes, most music these days looks dull and dreary in comparison. Great band!
