@Speak For Yourself i hate how acho always goes to hyperbole to make his points, college football would not end, it would actually normalize they playing field a bit, for a few years at least, but in the end the the "top" programs have smart people who can create new ways to circumvent the rules. as it stands the method acho describes to circumvent rules is a lazy one, smart people can use a multitude of ways to get money to players, especially if they study the rules to find loop holes and especially if they are aware of how the ncaa tries to fin out who is cheating, its the same way people avoid paying taxes despite making boucoupe $$$ (trump, clintons, romney, sanders, etc [baiscally all politicians]) they know the rules, the detection mechanisms, and the practices used to tax and catch tax cheats. its basically the american way: come up with a way to bypass security/authority untill security/authority catches up, then come up with more innovative and elaborate ways to cheat. there is always a way to break the rules. Jimbo response was the "ACTION". In context, Saban was speaking to boosters and donors at an event. He said A&M bought thier class, which is a fact and not against the rules now. He was trying to light the fuze with his big money donors to step up thier NIL game. He was saying this is what A&M is doing, if you want Bama to be #1 again then this is what we gotta do. Fisher's response was unjustified, he needs to stop pretending that his class signed with him because they want to play for the glory of the 12th man or that they believe in the future of the program at A&M. They were bought and paid for at a level we haven't seen since the 80s. But now it's legal.
