Saw them open for Jonathan Richman & The Modern Lovers in San Franciso in 1983. During his set, Jonathan sang a song about them.

Ned Claflin, Dave Terry and Tom Nelson--they made a lot of hearts go pitty-pat back in the 80's--they played all over the Bay Area. All of them still alive and doing well but sadly they didn't continue as The Baltimores.

Be still my heart. Those were some fine times in The City. The Baltimores were a highlight, as performers and friends. I'm calling for a reunion show!

Would be great if they could! I've certainly lost track of the guys.

Really appreciate this post. They played at an all-a cappella night at the Freight and Salvage in Berkeley probably in 1982. The Bobs headlined, but the Baltimores were the highlight. Bought the single.

Do you know anything about these guys? I saw them 35 years ago in SF. They sang "Amalfi" and I would love to hear it again.

Have no idea what happened to the guys, don't know if they ever cut an album.

I saw them open for Jonathan Richman in SF in the fall of '83. Jonathan sang a song about them which he recorded in 1985. "They bring their clothes when they sing/In fact, that's all they bring."

@@jimdrapervideo Hey do you have "Talk to me in French" it was (imo) their best song. I saw Ned open for Jonathan Richman around 1998-2000 ish. I hated his opening act initially but I got to know him fairly well... enough to co-write a song. He was still singing up a storm and he helped me out doing some recording. We went to see Martin Sexton in Boston who blew us both away and he started working with Martin. Then I started a family and lost touch. Great guy.

@@kevinkinal9557 I was only familiar with these two songs we recorded for them. Never had a chance to see them perform in a club - that I can recall these many years later.
