To give some context on the truck scene where they’re vandalizing people’s cars, I don’t know if you noticed but Jin is the one that’s in the driver seat and he is blocking traffic so everyone is honking at him and even though in the scene you supposedly see the BTS members running around and vandalizing cars, you don’t actually see anyone get out of their car to try to stop them or yell at them for it, which if you think about it realistically would be very unusual like if you saw someone vandalizing your car you’d get out and stop them no? So one of the theories that I have and that I’ve seen people talk about is that the members weren’t actually there, it was just Jin either hallucinating that he was with them or he was actually with them in a different timeline so he came back here and was trying to reminisce it so he is just sitting there by himself in his truck blocking traffic and that’s why everyone is just honking at him to move…Kind of goes back to the scene at the end of the prologue where earlier in prologue Jin had taken the Polaroid photo with two of the members but at the end of prologue when he’s looking back at the Polaroid he’s by himself in the photo and there is no members in it with him because he wasn’t actually with them when he took it, he was once again either hallucinating it or it happened in a different timeline. hope this helps!!

@@JimGames another thing that supports this theory is during that scene, you can barely hear someone yell "Move your car!" in Korean, which would be a weird thing to say; if all the other, more serious vandalizing was actually happening you'd think they'd be yelling about that instead. So this further implies that Jin was there by himself and the other members weren't actually there.

idk if you noticed it, but in the end scene (when jimin was burning their photo), before that happen, it showed the members standing on jin's truck looking at the sea, then it transitioned to the picture. one member is actually missing in that picture before jimin started to burn the photo.

5:42 the song in the background of this part is butterfly which was also at the end of the prologue and you will hear when you listen to HYYH pt2, I’m pretty sure the part that is in this is Jimin singing and it’s V in the actual video falling backwards. Their MVs have behind the scenes and they actual show V filming this part by falling into a water tank :)

Rm once said "I need you" was the happiness behind the sadneas and "run" was the sadness behind happiness. IN "i need you" they are sad but find consolation in each other. In "run" they again run to each other from their problems but it becomes toxic, bcs they cant run forever

Yes, those sunglasses are the ones that Cobain wore. There are a lot of references to Nirvana in mvs we haven't gotten to yet. I'm not sure that there's a deep connection other than trying to show them as rebellious teenagers. I have also heard the art director for Bighit is a big Nirvana fan so maybe that's his influence too.

I am absolutely fascinated watching you explore the BU. I’m new Army but I’ve explored more but I learn more each deep reaction I see. I love your enthusiasm. They love to challenge fans. The whole concept of it’s ok to fail really hits me. I work in Silicon Valley and help mentor startups. Failure is a privilege to me some groups are rewarded for it (see the startup world we way too often reward huge failures) others are never given the same opportunities. This song and their ideas are so important for teens and young adults to hear. Musically it’s just so good.

I feel you, that was my feeling when I became a fan in 2015. I would watch a video at least 8 to 9 times to see what each member was doing and the Easter eggs in them. By the time I am done i would almost be able to sing the entire song. Then I will be scouting the comments and community to discuss with army because you can't keep it to yourself you need to get your head around it. Then you get into the lyrics and emotion and before you know it you are emotionally attached to BTS like no other artist or group. Even seeing them hurt in fantasy made you sad. Lol. Genius. And Big Hit & Co. Really delivered on the Quality. I don't know, but selfishly I hope we get one more era of albums so I can feel like this once more 😄😄. BTS made me smarter and sharpened my brain.

In I need U jimin was trying to drown himself on the tub and in run when wanted to go back to the tub the members where with him and he wasn't alone. Also the members are paired (I believe) which you will see a lot, that's why jimin was with jhope when he woke up. And suga and Jungkook where having a fight and RM and V where drawing with graffiti in the streets. Edit: at the end of RUN (not the whole video just where the song ends) Jungkook is showed looking back with all the members walking toward, now if you remember, in I need U there was a scene where he was ganna get hit by a car. Now we always see Jin being the one driving the so call truck they always use. And if you see the members behind Jungkook on that scene, is only 5. So one members is missing...any ideas? Last edit: Note that Jin is always the one with the Camara and the one taking pictures or seeing pictures and stuff like that. And so what some people believe is that when the flame is shown like being taken by a Camara, is Jin taking that because he wanted to save those memories/moments (for some reason, maybe he knows something or new something). Last LAST edit: In the end all the members where around the truck, but when the picture was taken, one member disappeared, any ideas.....haha yeah..Jin! Then jimin burned that.

When I discovered BTS in 2015 (hhyh pt 2 era) I kept getting confused between the mvs of 'I NEED U' and 'RUN' without really realizing there was an actual continuating story until WINGS Era! The BU is awesome, but can make you feel like putting on that tin foil hat, lol!

The song in the beginning and again at the end, is Butterfly from The Most Beautiful Moment in Life part 2. The card they pull out of the feathers is also a butterfly 🦋 or Nabi in Korean. I see that you have discovered the power of dark J-hope. The J-Hope of Jamais Vu and Outro:Tear. I saw a tough guy heavy metal fan react to a live version of Outro: Tear the other day, and he started crying during J-hope’s part. He was shocked and embarrassed that he would cry, but he said that there was just something about the devastation on J-hope’s face. And it’s true that J-hope always performs that song with so much grief. Something to look forward to.

While I've seen this video a few times, I never paid attention to the Nirvana T-shirt. Once you brought it to my attention, it made me think of Nirvana's "Nevermind" album cover with the baby underwater. I do know BTS also has a song called "Nevermind", so I wonder if it's connected. I, too, am baby Army interested in diving into the BU, but I don't know if I'm ready. I feel like I need some kind of prerequisite course or something first, lol.

It’s fun to see your excitement. I gave up early on trying to follow the BU story but I like reading ARMY’s theories & comments. My theory is, BTS or whoever originated the BU story germinated it then left it for Army to figure out while they find more scenarios to add. So it’s a joint project!

I believe that's correct. In "I Need You" he drops the lollipop and then it cuts to a cigarette dropping on the $ on the ground. I think it is something not unique to bts, but it's so that way idols don't get taken out of context with cigarettes, I believe.

@@EaginFoodie It is actually more than that - It shows the loss of childhood as reality sets in - ie the disrespect of the motorist who threw the money at RM. He was poor and lived in a container and worked pumping gas giving up his dreams. He loses the sweetness (lollypop) of youth and dropping into adulthood where his dreams are burnt into ash as he sees (and hates) his current adult reality that he was not ready for.

No, the lollipop represents childhood and innocence, and the cigarette represents adulthood, as well as the coffee. So at the beginning, when RM drops the lollipop into the coffee cup that represents loss of childhood and being thrusted into adulthood.

If you really want the full fan experience, you should read the Notes that came with each of the album drops. =) Once the BU started, one of the fun things about purchasing the physical album was that it would come with a set of Notes (sometimes different notes per version of the album) that was like an ongoing fictional diary from each of the members providing more information about what was happening in the storyline. The Notes and the Save Me webtoon are the only reason people actually know what is happening in this storyline, lol. The music videos by themselves don't provide enough context to really unravel it.

I only have one suggestion for you, if you want to enter BU. Pay attention to every detail, graffiti on the wall, every scene, shadow in the mirror, writing or drawing wherever it is. notice their writing on their shirts. because every scene they do is really extraordinary. For example, if you notice when Suga throws a chair into the glass, there is a shadow of a blue flower, and that flower will appear 2 years later in the Love Yourself album.

Im not sure if you know this, but their albums are life transitional phases in their perspective as boys going through their life, your done with adolescent (school trilogy), your at youth phase now....which I believe is why lyrics are important in Bts music, its their own thoughts about these phases theyre going through, they just incorporate many ways to share them with Army.

If you want to go in-order you cannot skip the BU, truthfully I have gone through all their videos and even back in "No More Dream" I see BU things (it could be stretching but I like to add it) and the "I DONT KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS!" is the feeling you will have until you reach some of the newer stuff (and truthfully sometimes I still get it) I'm kind-of upset that someone put time travel into your head, at this point I was thinking more along the lines that all the boys were actually different sides or personalities of one person, it wasn't until eight-ish more videos that I was starting to think more time-travel, than I went back and saw some things that pointed at time travel BUT I now think there is something even more (I do not know what that is, except the feeling that there is ... more)

the suga/jk scene I initially read as suga having a moment. he's angry at something. he's letting it out. JK see's he is hurting and tries to comfort him and Suga pushes him away. And I feel like its not the first time, with JK's reaction to that. He gets mad that Suga won't let him in to help him.

I have been enjoying watching through your BTS journey and I just want to say I appreciate the open mind and depth of understanding you have given this journey. I just recently had an exchange with another reactor who is positive BTS is overhyped and that their hardships have been exaggerated by fans. He was trying to tell me what the actual net worth of Big Hit was at the time they signed BTS and that they had “other groups” at the company, because he “did his homework.” 🤦🏻‍♀️ They were, in fact mortgaged to their eyeballs, and had some partial contracts with a couple already established fairly minor groups previously. Saying they were worth X Amount is really misleading mansplaining, and he was sure he knew more than I did, or had discovered some fan falsehood, despite being brand new to BTS. 🙄 So ~ just thanks for being awesome Jim. BTS music has a lot of deeper meaning..even if you don't know about BU..you can still enjoy and relate to lyrics and music.. the upper layer is ofcourse good music lyrics & fascinating MVs, choroes and as you go deep down music has psychological meanings. For new ARMYs I think its important to enjoy music first..Butterfly is my all time fav song, please listen to it😊..

You should just give into the BU because it's part of their story. You've already watched three of the videos. This song is the intro to Pt 2, right before RUN, and I think you will like it.
