Introduced to by my father; this was the very first Hendrix song I ever heard. My 10 yr old ears and mind were perplexed/astonished and filled with wonder!!! Hard to find live cut of ‘are you experienced’ and 30ish years later……the same feeling comes about after watching him use his feet and guitar trem as a pedal/effect?!?! Completely out of this universe was the imagination, emotion and style Jimi used playing a guitar!!!!

I get cynical listening to this 'evolved' shit in my old age. Jimmy was a child who knew nothing. Today, he probably would be a liberal tool helping to usher in a 1 world communist gov't because all he knew was music.
@artmienz30775 жыл бұрын
@@luckyvet I don't agree with the "evolved" thing either, but Jimi wasn't a child, he might've been nieve and "uneducated", but he knew music because he loved music so much so that he devoted his (sadly short) life to it. Still relevant still ahead of the times To me he was an alien not of this realm Their is a distinct line drawn between the way guitar was played before him and after him he showed us all what you could do with an imagination of endless depth He showed us how far you could go down into the rabbit hole of creativity Take all the stage antics and flashy moves away and you are still left with incredible talent incredible vision and unearthly imagination It’s not about technicality the artists who stand the test of time all have one thing in common imagination
@henryrogers55002 жыл бұрын
Hendrix was not only a genius guitarist, he was also an excellent musician, composer, arranger, conductor, and a craftsman in the studio, teaming up with the legendary Eddie Kramer!
@nilocdyob2 жыл бұрын
These are not mere antics, that’s not the way to look at what Jimi Hendrix is doing. It’s clear to me that his movements gestures and feeling with the guitar are all one instance of response coming from a deeper place. His genius is the whole thing, obviously how and what he did with playing the guitar as a musician is genius but then what he did altogether was unbridled and awe inspiring, he was being moved beyond himself so that when others heard him play they felt something deeper too. That depth of expression is simply a timeless gift of blessing that touches our hearts and nurtures our very being. Jimi was a beautiful conduit for such expression.

I think I speak for all of us.... This is James Marshall Hendrix at his pinnacle : When in the initial stage and for the better interest of Mgmt, Labels and Financial benefit. JH at this point benefits from artistic support, spiff cash, quality rec d**gs and fair treatment. This of course as we all know ceased real quickly.... And the exact opposite of artist loyalty of what I just mentioned resulted in a Night Train Wreck. This is monumental footage the we hope will be upgraded to a 4K standard in color would greatly be justified. Piece and Love.
