6:24 (JIM MORRISON DRUNKEN SCREAMING) Hendrix & Jim Morrison first met each late at night March 7, 1968 at ''The Scene'' nightclub in New York City. The Hendrix jam session was ''RUINED'' by Morrison staggering drunkenly on stage and yelling obscenities. As the song progresses Morrison doesn't. He soon collapses on the stage grabs Hendrix by the ankles and then clumsily drags himself away knocking a table of drinks over into Janis Joplin's lap! She retaliates "I wouldn't mind... if he could sing". Hendrix is not impressed by Jim's behavior and a little upset. The next and last time that Jimi Hendrix and Jim Morrison met each other was at an April 2, 1968 concert in Montreal at the Paul Sauvé Arena. Just like the previous month, Jim Morrison drunkenly interfered with Jimi Hendrix performance. Harry Shapiro/Caesar Glebbeek's book, ''Jimi Hendrix: Electric Gypsy'' describes the incident as follows: Amid all the chaos, Jim Morrison tried to get on stage. British soul star Geno Washington saw what happened next: 'The place was fuckin' packed, the people are going ape shit, Jim Morrison is drinking his drink and staggers up to the front of the stage, "Hey Jimi! Jimi! Let me come up and sing, man, and we'll do this shit together." So Jimi goes, "That's okay, fella, I can handle it myself." And he said, "Do you know who I am? I'm Jim Morrison of the Doors." "Yeah," said Jimi, "I know who you are-and I'm Jimi Hendrix." ☮

Yep, I have this album on vinyl. Terrible audio quality, and a drunk Jim Morrison didn’t add anything of value to the record. Would have loved to see it live, but I was only 7 years old and I don’t think they’ would have let me in the club. 😊

God bless his soul but Albert King was totally wrong about Jimi's blues playing. He definitely had the range 🎸🎶✨✨

Not only wrong but incredibly arrogant and stupid. As if Albert could play anything Jimi could. Imagine Albert playing the intro to Little Wing. Yeah neither can I.

He probably never truly listened to Jimi when he made that rediculous statement, if Jimi just played blues songs, he would be ranked higher than the 3 Kings. A very arrogant and conceited comment by a big man who couldn't truly be the bigger man and admit how good Jimi was. Even B.B. knew how good he was, but to Jimi, B.B. was bigger than Elvis, the Beatles, etc. that's how much he looked up to him, as well as the other blues legends he grew up listening to. He had utmost respect for them

King was so arrogant that one day he asked Stevie Ray Vaughn to pay him ten thousand dollars for stealing some of his riffs. (SRV paid with a smile, but this says a lot about King's character)

This photo transports me! With the impression to wake up late on a new day of idleness, just listening to the buddies playing with the pungent smell of a smoke that passes from hand to hand... the color of this picture! And the typical vehicles in this ideal corner of nature... while the sunlight draws in front of the Combi what one could take for a tepee from which Hendrix would come out... the apparition! I so wish I had lived in that time, to have known that vital feeling of true freedom..🎉

Thank My Parents! We had a big floor model stereo Hi-Fi with 12" Woofers and 12" Horns... My Sister gave me my 1st Hendrix album when I was 9, she worked in the record department of a major department store. The First time I played Hendrix, I was Hooked For Life, and popular with "The In Crowd".

Sorry, but his bending is awful here, hearing this just confirms my opinion of Jimi. He's using alot of Albert Lee licks but not really reaching all the way. This starts to get painful to listen to,a jam or not.He and Zappa were friends and the inside cover of We're Only In It For The Money parody of Sgt Pepper Frank is standing in a dress with his pregnant wife Gail and then Jimi.

One off performance with drunk Jim Morrison screaming in the background should not be sufficient to form an opinion on an artist. If you wanna listen to a jealous blues legend that plays the same lick for 40 years straight than by all means go listen to Albert “Lee”
