Hey fellas in this upload we are looking at JIMI HENDRIX - Hear My Train A Comin - Guitar lesson With Talleg Toussaint.
Talleg sent me an audio clip a couple of days back and immediately i asked if we could share a lesson on his approach, tone and general feel of this amazing track! This version is from the ' People Hell and Angels " and like Talleg this is also one of my favourite versions.
THIS IS A VERY VALUABLE LESSON - I PERSONALLY WILL REVISIT THIS UPLOAD TO DIGEST LICKS AND SPONGE THEM UP WHEN I CAN.

The 'Band of Gypsies' album was probably the pinnacle of what an electric guitar is capable of...Talleg's playing is right up there with Jimi in the Stratosphere.

1-This is sort of like hearing SRV playing HMTC! 2-But, I hear the Talleg touch too, especially with those jazzy chords! 3-Maybe too much to say (lol :), but I think Jimi would be proud!

Great player! Love his breakdown and approach. The vibe, color and and shape are what’s important. I learned the solo from “Hey Joe”, a couple of the licks continues to mutate. I have figured them out a few different ways. Depending on how I’m moving through the solo, and the feeling of what I’m playing determines how the lick comes out. I don’t worry about hitting the exact correct lick, with exact correct timing... I worry about putting as much feeling into what I am playing! Going to learn this solo!

Thank you for sharing brother !! I really enjoyed doing this video ! Sorry for some 'rushed' parts where I could have maybe take a bit more time to explain some licks & all but the video would have been 2 hours long hahaha Anyway, hope it'll help and you guys enjoyed this !!

Talleg Toussaint, Thank you for the lesson! You’re a great player! I love the vibe, and intention you put into the solo. Your advice on the approach to playing is inspiring. Just enough breakdown to help guide.

Ok so I realise this is an extremely basic question to be asking for such a complicated lesson and wild playing, but just so I understand some of the notes and patterns this playing is built around can you help with what key this is played in please, and is it a mode or just built around a major/minor scale, thanks

Hi! One question. Are your speakers 8ohm, working in parallel mode? So are working 4 ohm?
@tallegtoussaint

My speakers are 8ohms & in parallel indeed, so both cabs are 4ohms ;-)

Talleg Toussaint, thanks. Im going to buy a thd hot plate . I have a vintage 1967 black face twin reverb, and i think i need the purlple one 8 hm like you. And one thing. You have brutal tone!!!
@tallegtoussaint
@tallegtoussaint 4 жыл бұрын
@@javialonso78 the THD attenuators are very very cool ! I first wanted the 4ohms to go with my Twin, but already had this 8ohms version you see, and figured out it was pretty much the same, you may loose a bit of volume power but hey, with a Twin, that's not a problem hahahaha
