​@@Coda6766practice is definitely a big factor in how fast you progress, but try to think of it as a journey instead of a destination if that makes sense. Everyone learns differently and honestly, in my experience, comparing your progress to others will only lead to frustration. If you've only been playing for a year, then it makes sense that it would take you longer to learn a song. Try this: write down the date you started learning a tune and after a week take a video of yourself playing it. Then DON'T delete the video (even if you think it's terrible) and 2 months later take another video playing the same thing. If you've been practicing it consistently you should see a huge improvement. No matter what, keep having fun with it and enjoy the journey 😊
