Possibly something with John Cafferty & band (with the sax being in the song)?

Erica Whitfield. Where did you get this? This is the only recording I can find of this song. Do you have a copy of the demo? If so, how can I get my hands on a copy (of a copy of a copy)?

Stupid question but is this a demo? There’s not much information available about the song. It’s beautiful to say the least and I’m hoping to learn a little more about it.

that's what i noticed too. it may be a demo

Eugene Vinzee I’m only throwing guesses here but it really fits into Survivor’s love song (ballad) catalogue! The search is over,Man against the world,Everlasting,Ever since the world began etc etc! So I’m honestly thinking it was written by Jim Peterick! Possibly a rough demo from “Too hot to sleep”. Whatever the case,it’s a beautiful song and whoever’s responsible for its legal rights I hope they one day bring it back into the light! Possibly a future track from “The ides of March” or whatever project Peterick’s involved in!

@@jasonwhite7452 great analysis!i would agree with you that jim probably wrote it. he puts wonderful lyrics on their every hit. not downplaying jimi's songwriting capabilities but jim has this particular punch. probably this was made between vital signs and when seconds count, where their hit love songs were at its peak. hahaha

Eugene Vinzee Extremely great point! I didn’t think of When seconds count! That album already had a couple ballads “Man against...And “In good faith” and Vital had “The search and “Everlasting” So maybe they were worried that they’d be pigeonholed as a love song band if they put too many ballads on an album. That’s why I came up with the assumption it was from “Too hot to sleep”! But as a music lover I absolutely hate it when theres an amazing song that absolutely only a handful of people know and there’s like zero information on it! Here’s a great example...If you look up “The men’s club 1986” you’ll find a clip where Roy Scheider is getting all funky with a couple girls but anyway the song in the background is called “Taking a stand” by Jim Gilstrap ( the guy who sang the first line of Stevie Wonder’s Sunshine of...And The 70s TV theme “Good Times!” But it’s a great song that had that Lionel Ritchie, Luther Vandross appeal that absolutely nobody knows Not even the damn internet! There’s no lyrics,Its not on any album or mentioned anywhere! It’s in a damn good song graveyard, lol! Sorry to ramble on! You just got me thinking of those golden rarities of music!

@@jasonwhite7452 rolling stones would be rolling over calling them cheesy love ballad band hahahaha. Too hot to sleep seemed heavier so i didnt think of it made in between vital signs. Closest is when seconds count. we only know it if you pay attention to the most minute details. especially if you are an avid fan
