Awesome to see the 2 lead singers get along. When they high fived each other after their duet of The Search Is Over, that moment shows you mutual respect for each other. You could give a shit which lead singer you prefer. Nowadays the band is just a shell of what it used to be.

Met Jimi & the rest of the band in early 1985' just before they left for Japan. They weren't in any way, the quintessential 80's rock group. Very down to earth. Basically, old school hippies. Good people. Jimi seemed to be uncomfortable around a lot of people. But, if you got him in a low key setting. He'd kick back and relax. You have to remember these guys were all the way old school, and being on the road 24/7 takes its toll "quick" half the time you can't tell what time it is, or where you are once you wake up, "If you ever sleep in the first place" it's rough life. Not all sunshine and rainbows. I don't care who you are. We all have our demons to deal with. #Peace✌...

Similar voice to Steve Perry of Journey. Very powerful. This day will come for all of us. Live life without creating regrets and find a relationship with God. All our talents and abilities are from Him. Use your talents to glorify Him. His rewards are eternal. I used to play clubs in a rock band in the 80's, but it was just a shallow existence. A life surrounded by drugs and alcohol and chasing meaningless relationships. Strive to serve and help others. It is God's plan for all of us. All other efforts and accomplishments in life are meaningless.

JIMI JAMISON IS SURVIVOR. HIS SINGING WAS THE BEST BECAUSE OF THE HEART AND SOUL HE PUT INTO EVERY SONG. HE LOVED SINGING. HOW DID THEY MANAGE TO SCREW HIM FINANCIALLY WHEN THEY NEVER WOULD HAVE BEEN AS GREAT WITHOUT HIM. FRANKIE SOMEHOW FAILED TO MENTION THAT JIM PETERIK DID A LION'S SHARE OF THE WRITING.

Kind of weird how the description mentions Jimi twice and he is in it for 10 seconds. No mention of Frankie and he does the interview. By the way, Frankie looks like Garth these days. But one thing about Frankie, people will bash him but he never says anything bad about anyone publicly. Give him credit for that.

What a liar Sullivan is. He said he came up with the riff for Somewhere in America. Uh no, Peterik had written the song already and Frankie played the opening for him when they met. Peterik liked the fact that Sullivan learned it. Peterik is the sole writer of the song. Read his book and check the writing credits of the song.

When did the drug use start? Every member of the band looks to be in physically good health, as if they go to the gym or something. They are very energetic on stage, strong voices and they don’t have the look of meth heads at all. I’m thinking it couldn’t been an addiction to meth, at least, for very long. No matter the cause of death, it’s so sad to have such a good man and great talent not among us any more in person. I hope Jimi knew the Lord and awaits our acquaintance in heaven. For anyone who doesn’t already know it, drugs lie and will not give you the peace or anything good that you seek.

The guy being interviewed is the guitar player Frankie Sullivan. All the songs were co-written written by Jim Peterik (the piano player) and Sullivan. Peterik has not been in the band for at least 25 years. The lead singer Jimi Jamison died 4 years ago. He was the guy who sang most of the hits in the 80s, songs like High on You, The Search Is Over, I Can't Hold Back, Burning Heart, Ever Since the World Began, and Man Against the World. The one big hit he didn't sing was Eye of the Tiger. That song came out before Jimi joined the band. That was sung by Dave Bickler. Both Jamison and Bickler were in the band on this tour and both appear in the 30 second clip at the end of this video.
