Truely I agree, making friends with older people than you is wise. I came majuu out of encouraging advice from my very prosperous business friends in Kenya and those who once had a dream to move abroad, but they found themselves married and stack in Kenya. I met my need and now looking into meeting my needs to meet my dreams. Thank you Jimmy for narrowing down how to assess the inch market.

Jimi is a brilliant man but we need a proper interview. He’s not a narrative of rags to riches, his father was an MP. We need an interview on how he got into business, how much $$$ he got from his dad. He’s a great example of a privileged Kenyan that grew his family’s wealth amazingly. I would ask him very comprehensive questions, about the beginning.
@wayando
@wayando Жыл бұрын
Are you saying he should share with you his accounts ... So that you know how much resources he got from everywhere .... Then what he did with that, and then what he did with the profit .... So that you can copy and do the same?! 😂😂😂 ... Be serious buddy ... If ever you hear such a story, you are better off finding something better to do with your time. LEARN THE PRINCIPLES ... And you will make money, grow money, create wealth, and keep wealth. Stop this Kenya mentality of wanting to know where your fellow man got whatever they have so you can rush there trying to get stuff ... And stop this thing of copying what someone else is doing because you can't create something that doesn't already exist. Rags to riches ... Parents had money ... Potatoe - Potato ... The guy has a system that works. Learn the system and what makes it work ... Then find your own materials and create your own system, based on your realities.

Don't be shallow. You seem as though you want to copy paste from his success story. It doesn't work that way. Many rich kids have fallen out and become poorer while at the same time other rich kids have been successful. As well as poor kids who are still poor and poor kids who made their wealth. It's all in the combination of determination, luck and authentic paths people individually choose. What you should be asking wanjigi is things like business market, do's and don't's and such specifics when it comes to progressive steps to financial freedom.
@jacksonwanga7471

@@wayando nice perspective bt I don't think that is "Kenya mentality " as you call it. Such mentalities can be traced in anyone. I think a respectable percentage of Kenyans are actually really progressive in their thinking.

To distill the wisdom out of Jimmi, you need a long form interview and discussion that cannot be easily achieved with this type of show. You could tell he is struggling with being cut off just when he is gaining momentum to start spitting wisdom. An Obinna like or Lynn Ngugi or CTA type of interview would suit him well, just allow him to talk more.

Please understand nitty-gritty of the and the goal of the interview. Lynn's and Obinna's are meant for testimony/entertainment /life experience. It takes a few personnel in the interview industry to bring out the economic perspective of Wanjigi, like Kingori. The two you suggest are in different interview world. If you understand then you will appreciate

Is marriage a need or a want?
@wayando
@wayando Жыл бұрын
Long term need vs Short term need .... Marriage is not a "thing" in itself, it is an institution meant for a purpose ... This purpose being procreating and passing on wealth into the future. Procreating and passing wealth into the future is a NEED. Extinction ... You can procreate without marriage ... But your offspring will be at a severe disadvantage and if they repeat your system then your genetic lineage would go extinct or enter into slavery for someone else's genetic line. Just like you can conduct business alone or register a corporation then partner with others for returns that are orders of magnitude bigger ... It is near impossible for a well run sole proprietorship to out-compete a well run corporation. Also, ... If you don't pass on your wealth, culture and knowledge into the future ... You will end up in the same pot of extinction/ slavery - Eventually. Almost guaranteed ... Unless your offspring are all very long lived geniuses.

For most people that's terrible advice. Be careful encouraging people to quit their job and get into the desert of entrepreneurship. Thee skills and psychological strength required is something that maybe only 10% of people possess. For the pther 90% let them take the more SECURE path of joining the train of an established individual ... Bu way of being employed with good salary and good benefits. It's bring slower returns, in terms of compounding ... But it is more secure.

Given that government statistics indicate that all the vehicles in Kenya are owned by less that 5% of the people. Including those scrap metals on stone. And less than 3% own both a house and a car. And Bank statistics indicate that less than 0.1% have a bank balance of above 1Million. Meaning out of 50million ... There is only a certain number who can give information. And this guy is one of them.
