Jimin's voice means so much to me. When I was going through a really tough time dealing with depression and insomnia, his voice was like a soothing balm for my soul. It would wrap around me like a warm hug and for those moments, my problems seemed to fade away. Falling asleep to his gentle, comforting tones every night became my own personal form of therapy. And you know what? It actually worked wonders for my insomnia - no more tossing and turning for hours on end. 🔗Interesting Info: ❣Yeon Eum Boys and Girls Choir gave enchanting harmony along with Jimin, truly captivating, especially in the latter part of Jimin’s song “Closer Than This”. Jimin's charming vocals blend seamlessly with the pure vocals of the Yeon Eum Boys and Girls Choir, resulting in a beautiful and memorable performance. Also, aside from Jimin writing all the lyrics to this song, he wrote as a fan song just for army, meant to comfort & support while he as well as all members of BTS are all temporarily away in the military, which Jimin released just 9 days after joining the military himself, Jimin is also is credited with composing the melody! Jimin pretty much hand picked the clips & photos chosen that were shown. There were so many occasions that Jimin made a point of telling army afterwards, about how special those particular times were, so meaningful & meant so much to him! I also believe that some of the drawings, sketches seen in the MV for “Closer than This”, were also Jimin’s! It definitely looked like his style. Though for some reason, it’s not known as much in the fandom, Jimin is quite impressive in his artwork, as seen in some rare times during run episodes & or behind the scenes..Jimin excelled not only in art class but Jimin also took calligraphy, which shows in the way he writes as well! 😍🐥That was producer Pdogg’s house shown, at the beginning of “Closer Than This’”, where Jimin also wrote most of the lyrics, composed melodies, & helped produce all his songs, worked alongside Pdogg, (legendary in-house BigHit genius producer, along with a couple of other producers, GHSTLOOP & Evan for his whole FACE album! Ft equally must hear songs ❣️“Face Off”, absolute fire❣️Alone”, so deep, beautiful & emotional. Which comes right after ❣️“Like Crazy” which has a full English version I almost prefer, as well, also a ‘hidden’ song ❣️”Letter” (hidden track only in physical album specifically for army), (which Jimin wrote as a thank you to army, & ❣️“Set Me Free Pt.2”. The whole album, as Jimin has mentioned, is what he was trying to convey, pouring his heart out, his very essence, to show what he was going through, during pandemic, his emotions, thoughts, loneliness, despair, depression, that he hoped to share & have many able to relate to! Plus his voice is so beyond heavenly, stunningly beautiful, so eloquent, his ability to convey his feelings, emotions, what the lyrics are trying to say, his approach, the various tones that resonate, making you feel that much more what he’s feeling. What a phenomenal artist he is! Jimin worked close to Pdogg, who he’s become quite close with already when creating Jimin’s earlier hit song “Friends” that he ft, V on, (“Friends” was in Marvel the Eternals film), that Jimin also wrote , composed, as well as helped produce previously, along with other songs in the past. Jimin worked so hard, non stop, while creating his FACE album that he pretty much stayed over Pdogg’s house, all of the 10 months it took to create the album, as shown in Jimin’s FACE production Diary documentary! Plus, as shown here, Jimin apparently worked on other songs with his production crew team. This time for ❣️“Closer than This” Jimin even had legendary Ayo the Producer, as well, working on it, who even posted, “we’re far from finished”! It looks like there might be more songs eventually being released as well, but this song was a special gift to army from Jimin knowing how much army would be missing the members now all gone to the military, Jimin made a point of releasing it just 9 days after enlisting, to comfort & reassure fans that he as well as all of BTS will be back. All these photos, & clips shown are all the times & memories Jimin & rest of BTS shared with army who helped them with all their non stop support throughout the yrs, including helping them receive many of their awards! This song is, I agree, quite easy for Jimin to sing. It's deliberately simple, a little gift to Armies, and lets us hear his beautiful voice almost unadorned. The video, even though it's official, was built like a fan video. The lyrics are a heartfelt promise to be with us forever, and they're full of references for fans. He gave us this and Letter, both of them really beautiful and relatively simple. I can't wait for him to be able to sing this live with ARMY so we can sing along and promise to never let him go as well. It'll be really sweet and powerful. 💜

Jimin has such a beautiful voice, the video of BTS that Jimin featured actually some of it is very painful for BTS and ARMY. When they debuted they came from a small company that almost went bankrupt so they weren't promoted like other groups in that industry. They went through so much, hate, mistreatment, death threats and despite all that they went on to be the biggest and best group in the world. With 5 Grammy Nominations, artist of the year US and Korea many times. Over 1400 awards even beating Taylor swift. They are the most awarded group so far. This song is so beautiful but is a gift for ARMY and we have the most beautiful relationship

This came out I think the day before he went into the military. He said it was a hug for ARMY. That is why it wasn't much of a production, he wanted to put it out but knew it wasn't gonna be a big production but also he wasn't gonna take out to the music shows. So he made it like a home movie feel because he wanted it to be something very homie that everyone could enjoy. Thank you for listening to this, it makes my heart feel full of love.

Great reaction from your view as a vocalist. I enjoyed the parts where you show/tell us what notes he hits and explain whether it's chest, head, or mixed voice. I love Jimin's voice, and it boggles my mind when the haters say he can't sing. Yes, Jimin can song high, but I feel he has excellent control of it. Would recommend his song "Lie". There's a live performance, but since you analyze vocals more than dancing, I would recommend the DOCSKIM version. He is the one who produced Lie years ago but redid it because it's his mother's favorite, and he felt he could improve it. That way, you won't hear the crowd yelling. Lie is a musical masterpiece 💜💜💜. Have subscribed.

That he’ll be back before we know it! That this is just but a comma, to our story together! He also aside from writing the lyrics & composing the melody, also drew most of the illustrations sketches in the MV, as well as hand picked all the clips from various concert performances, award shows, & behind the scene, which meant that much more to him because, army was there to support since the beginning, always there to cheer him & BTS on as well as help them win all their awards! Jimin as well as all members of BTS love their country, are very patriotic and went willingly to enlist as their patriotic duty! Army here. I want to recommend a new artist for you since you love Jimin’s voice. There is an amazing Chinese pop singer Zhou (sounds like Joe) Shen. Also called Charlie. He has this indescribably ethereal tone and a tenor in the highest sense. I am not a vocal expert but I guarantee you have not experienced anyone like Zhou Shen. Mainly self taught but he did study bel canto for a couple of year during his university days in Ukraine. He speaks 6 languages and sings in 12. He is often mentioned by fans of Dimash. His voice resonates like the bells used for meditation. Check out Floating Lights, Listen, Time to Say Goodbye ( his Italian is impeccable), Memory from Cats, Ring the Doorbell, China in the Lights ( pure soprano voice), and Da La Beng Ba (sings in 5 different voices). I figure if I mention him enough you might get curious. He is selling out concerts in China for his new album and he just sang at the United Nations.

You have a gift of keeping me from being super judgy with new songs. It seems to me that Kpop singers for whatever reason use a nasal approach which I think is pretty dismissed in the west. Taemin has a tiny bit of this, maybe more pronounced in his Japanese songs? Hwasa of Mamamoo definitely but her voice has so many facets. You might want to check out one of her songs, Maria or LMM. Maria has more Kpop styling, LMM is just a beautiful ballad. I wonder if nasality is related to the language… anyway, you open my mind to more techniques for achieving a feeling when singing. Cool. right?

Great analysis of Jimin's singing, but you are confirming what most Army say that BTS, or the individual guys, are way beyond Kpop. They are true artists. They never conformed to the restraints of Kpop. You should also look at the lyrics you would see the purpose of the song.
