This song sounds like a dark fairy tale. your voice sounds like a whisper making you go somewhere. it's like a dream, but again like you're using substances. you kinda start to feel a little bit of what jimin wants us to feel. that girl, once they meet in the middle, all the half-stop shots look like we see him through that girl's eyes. and at the end he looks as the camera pans around, it's like we're spinning too but looking at him as he says "I need a way we can dream". and he looks down again like he can't find a way and it hurts him to the core. it's just not a new thought for him to cry over, just to accept that he'll keep trying. he looks at the camera often but looks different when we see the girl is nearby. it seems that he is talking to us/her. But it's like he's trying to tell us something that's hard to explain, but he does. he'd rather be outside than feel the sad emotions sober. Jimin said something about the album expressing the feelings he felt during the pandemic in chronological order. in a sense it involves the army, bts or jimin himself all at once. it was always about us, emotions confirm how he must have felt all this time. the "forever you and me" is always in the background at different times, only softly if you listen carefully. some things I still can't fully explain but it's not just us but Jimin himself, always striving for perfection but all things considered seems out of reach. the "alone again... what's the point" is so painful because he can really feel it. as if he gives up for a moment, or goes back to being sad and sober, no longer in the club where he can forget in the company of his friends, fans, etc. there's so much I want to explain, but there are some things I can't connect or explain yet. regardless, this M/V was profound. between sad and the sudden sound change slowly relieves you of the sadness and distracts you, until you are alone again, then it starts. no wonder he doesn't want to go away or be saved. he wants to live in that moment when everything is temporarily fine. the bathroom scene reminds me of movies where the party is outside and the bathrooms are where you will cry and think and reflect and drown before you go out again and forget. you want to forget, but you occasionally remember, leading you to go back and forget AGAIN. the sadness being an incentive factor to go out and party, not sober up and just enjoy the lights, completely lost. BETWEEN A MIX OF FICTION AND STRONG REALITIES. ANOTHER WORK OF ART BY THIS THINKING BEING. APPLAUSE.👏👏👏❤

I really don’t like how BTS kind of left the Kpop sound and do more western marketed music. Like the songs r objectively good of course, I just feel like BTS such a high standard and had such original and unique music, and the new radio music just doesn’t live up to it. Like I became an army during like dynamite era. And no joke every comeback has been a disappointment, idk it just really soured my experience as a fan. Life goes on and yet to come are such comfort songs but their English songs just don’t do it for me. Dynamite didn’t seem forced or unoriginal to me because it was their first attempt at an English song. And honestly my problem isn’t with the English song or the bubbly happy concepts at all. I just feel like they don’t have the BTS magic. Like boy with luv is also a happy bubbly song and it’s legitimately my top3 bts songs. It’s just sad to see😭 One thing I do really appreciate about BTS is that every members solo path is so different and genuine. I don’t necessarily like all their solos but it’s nice to see them explore their personal sounds. Like I really really don’t like jhopes music but that’s a personal preference and at the same time I can acknowledge how objectively good and creative it is.

I get your point and appreciate your honesty ofcourse you can't like every single song existed and I really respect your opinion but what do you mean by BTS left kpop sound 😅 kpop is not a genre I don't know if you are just fan or casual listener because BTS always comes with something new the map of the soul persona is totally different from map of the soul 7 ..........they have always been like this just listen their wings album and then listen Be album you will find out the sound was never kpop as you also said thay after dynamite every comeback is disappointment but in actual Be and proof album was released after dynamite so you wanna say this album disappoint you well that's perfectly fine but it's just my pov that true army never disappoint from BE album it has one of most iconic BTS songs.... All I just wanted to say" left kpop sound and become westernised" is such a weird statement just because they have 3 songs in English doesn't mean they forgot their roots they have discography of almost 300 songs in their native tounge ...... if you don't like any song of BTS that's perfectly okay no problem at all 💜💜💜💜💜💜

The only ick I have with this song is that it’s retro and I feel like retro is so overdone… but I also don’t personally care I just hear so many people say that they’re sick of retro which makes me think I should be sick of it. I love the song overall tho. It’s so easily digestible and really suits him. Set me free was really catchy but I think it’s an objectively bad song 😭😭 kind of like Lisa’s money. Like it was a catchy song period but it was objectively bad. Like these r the kind of songs that r catchy and will be on repeat but a part of me just can’t take them seriously cause they’re too cringe or like ‘typical’ in some ways. I think it’s a really nice song and I hate that it got overshadowed by … how unoriginal it is. Like it’s such a nice calm song but I feel like no one really appreciates it cause it’s not like a cultural reset or anything. And jimin can definitely deliver a cultural reset lol.
