as a small person, i can say, it is very unstable to keep yourself on high chairs, because we are not feeling the ground, and it is in our brain - the coordination, and sometimes we are falling down just by moving a bit on side, we are losing our balance easier. and sometimes it is easier to go down (fall) instead of trying to find a support for legs - that is why is looks sometimes we are falling down on purpose
