If you actually followed his NBA career you'd know he never got any opportunities. Add up his NBA playing time in total and it's practically nothing. To say he got "so many opportunities" is misinformed but I can see how just seeing he's been on a bunch of teams would make it seem that way. The most minutes he played was in his rookie season at 18 per game. He was on teams sure but never got playing time even if he played well one game he'd get DNP the next, etc. Got better each season on the Kings, even was shooting 50% from deep but each year got less playing time. Scored 17 his one game on the Bulls where he got decent minutes then Thibs never gave him time again.

But he's a 6'1" shooting guard. Most shooting guards in the NBA can shoot right over him and can easily contest his shots with superior length and verticals. He gets compared to Steph a lot but Steph has better court vision, handles, a quicker release, a better attitude (won't accept being a role player), and is two inches taller.

I think you're seriously underestimating the greed of the NBA and their teams' front offices. If he could REALLY perform on the NBA level day in and day out, he would still be in the NBA. Period. More wins off of a developing star player means more local spotlight. More attention from local fans mean more ticket, merchandise and stream sales. That means more spotlight on the team on the national scale which then develops into a brighter spotlight for the star player. That all in total leads money. NBA teams aren't stupid and had they smelt this money int he air with Fredette, he would still be here. Fredette couldn't stick around in the NBA because he was never the NBA calibre player. Nothing more, nothing less. Everyone knew coming in. He was a great spot up shooter in college, which is fantastic talent to have in the collegiate level; enough talent in fact to get you some spotlight. But in the NBA, as brutal as it is you got to have some more special assets of your own to have your footing, let alone succeeding because there are tons of people who do what you do and perhaps even better always trying to take your spot. All I could think of watching this video was not "Wow Fredette's amazing. Why isn't he in the NBA?" but rather "Wow, he's really slow, can't create shots and has some questionable shot selections. I can see why he's not in the league anymore."

@2478-q1b8 жыл бұрын
Absolutely!!!! Look, if people say he can't play "D" then name me 10 players in the league who do play "D." Nobody is going to convince me that Jimmer has no ability whatsoever to add serious value to a team in the NBA. He's a score first guard and a damn good one at that. He's with out a doubt talented enough to become a more rounded player. If he never gets another shot in the league by any team out of the 30, it's going to be a sad loss to all the fans of the NBA. I'm fully aware Nick Young is a sg/sf, I'm also aware he gets paid over 4 million a year by the Lakers. His career winning percentage as a player is 32.7%! That stat alone speaks volumes. He's been a loser on every single team he's played on. (4 NBA teams) He's just one example of the many players in the league who aren't even worthy enough to compare to the potential, B-Ball IQ, work ethic and talent Jimmer has. Yet he's the Tim Tebow of the NBA. I can't make sense out of something that is absent of sense. RESPECT JIMMER

Khe cause he scored 33 points against a preseason defense. 37.6 points in the CBA means nothing. His teammate Yabusele, a Celtics dratee, averaged nearly 21 and 10 in the CBA in his first year. He averaged roughly the same numbers in the D League and averaged less when he came to the NBA. CBA is nowhere near the NBA bro. It's comparable to D League but dropping 37 points with no D on lackluster competition at 40mpg isn't an attractive statline. Jimmer dug his own grave his early years in the NBA.
@ericwu1426 жыл бұрын
@@MRGilD0 Well, there are tons of games that he dropped more than 20 points when he was still in NBA. And a lot of games he scored more than 10 points in a limited time. His shooting percentage wasn't bad. I honestly don't know why he wasn't able to stay in the NBA.

I know Jimmer's defense isn't that great, but at least he tries. Harden has the worse defense I've seen, he barely tries at times, he just stands there looking around. Peyton manning You've never watched the Warriors, have you? Here's what Curry is: Playmaker, best shooter of all time, great screener for his size, great rebounder for a PG, one of the best at driving to the hoop and making those difficult layups, and he literally makes his team shoot better by a significant margin because of the spacing he brings and how many defenders he draws attention to.

***** He's not the worst defender ever, and I do think he can be on the bench for a lot of NBA teams. The only problems are that he can be a huge distraction, like Tim Tebow because of his cult following. The second issue is the fact that most end of the bench NBA guys are projects with great athleticism but little basketball skills, guys with upsides the teams believe can be good down the line. Freddete, unfortunately for him, has maxed out his potential. He is today--heck, he was in college--what he was ever going to become.

@emmanuelenyinwa14437 жыл бұрын
Fredette is NOWHERE NEAR as good an NBA player as Raymond Felton. FredeTte is strictly a 2 guard, as he has never shown the ability to run an offense. Fredette is a poor version of Steph Curry, except he does not have Curry's work ethic and he is not as big. He is exactly like Seth Curry, except Seth can play some point guard, too. You can also compare him to an Austin Rivers, except Rivers is bigger and can defend bigger players.

How did he do that on Patrick Beverly one of the best defenders in the league

131 to 94 and Jimmer fans are saying give him another chance in the NBA??? His team got beat bad. Even in his highlights, he chose to take tough shots instead of getting the ball to the open man. Sure the good guy on your team is going to have a high score if he takes all the shots. LMAO Jimmer needs to be happy he's a star somewhere.

They talk about scoring in China like its easy. Then he puts 33 on a team thats supposed to be one of the better ones in the nba. Either give more kudos or say he was the most game-ready dude on either team on the court.

Lmao if players like Steve Blake and JJ Barea can have formidable NBA careers than this dude surely can.

Funny thing is...Jimmer could actually MAKE the HOF. And remember, it's not the "NBA" Hall of Fame, it's the "Basketball" Hall of Fame. Not just NBA players make it.
