Nobody will ever know how bad these refs were cheating to help that other team. In any normal setting this performance would've walked away with that game. He was doing everything on that basketball court and all they kept doing was putting the other team at the line to get them points with the clock stopped

tell you what his shot to put the game into OT is an and-one for sure. I mean the guy guarding him literally jumped into him while he took that shot, if this was in the NBA the ref would be all over that shit.

With high shooting % which is what is most impressive - i'm watching the nba all star game and they don't play defense so everyone gets open shots from 3 - and they yet they miss them. Jimmer is great at hitting them with defense or without - consistency is an elite skill - tons of guys in the nba miss shots similar to the ones jimmer takes in cba. The floaters - mid ranges - spin shots - step backs - contested drives - contested 3s - those are tough shots no matter what league. They take skill - but of course people don't focus on what other players can't do - it's mostly always about making jimmer seem like he's worse than every active nba player. Btw - the clutch fts - he did that on the nba too. Even when he didn't play in the nba - the coaches would bring him off the bench COLD not having played - to sink the game winning free throws. And he did several times. Not to mention the amazing contested game tying 3 and other clutch shots.

Misael V. Misael the reason teams dont want fridette is he holds the ball to much and he looks to score and not team play when his on the court he makes his team bad yeah he can score but just look at this game 70+ points and they still lose that just show how much he handles the ball

San Hawk are u dumb? what he meant was. The game was an allstar game so there was no defense at all and the players have open shots but miss them. that is his point players missing open shot when jimmer make contested and open shot efficiently. do u logic? lol

real quick to all you hating on fredette..... saying he's a bust and received a fair ample shot in the league... i have a question... in college, when he was given his own team much like damian lillard and kawai leonard were given theirs.... do u know what his record was vs those two....leonard last years runner up in the mvp voting, and three years ago the finals mvp for what he did defensively to lebron james... he scratched one win.... jimmer tallied 5... five and 1 vs the nba's def stopper.. lol guess he didn't have the same success trying to tame fredette that he did the king lol..... as for the nbas rookie of the year, he wasn't as successful as leonard lol... he was 0 and 4 vs fredette... but i know... he sucks... plays no dee... lol even tho he was top five in the d league in steals... the reason he wasn't given a shot was plan as day.. no one wanted the job of trying to five teammates to play with him and let him do what he needs to do to be effective.... what a shame... same thing came close to happening to curry... luckily the franchise that drafted him decided to believe in him....

JohnnyT3n The guy is good at what he does, nobody denies that. I'm happy he gets to play in a league that lets him shoot a million shots like his BYU days. But 70 points in China does not translate to 70 points NBA. And let's be serious, these defenders look like guys playing pickup ball.
@Coopsoldman
@Coopsoldman 7 жыл бұрын
Really? 70 points in china doesn't mean 70 points in the NBA? I'm so glad you clarified that... Just out of curiosity who is putting up 70 points in any league? I think the point is the guy is obviously good enough to help any NBA team. A lot of Players have used the CBA to get back into the NBA and they weren't putting up numbers like this....
@JohnnyT3n
@JohnnyT3n 7 жыл бұрын
More talking points... 70 points in this league I think was a top 5 all-time performance...... Jimmer can score, but it is true coaches have to let him do his thing, NBA coaches simply aren't willing to let Jimmer dominate an offense like this. I actually love Jimmer, but if I were a head coach I would either bench him like everyone has, or I would basically put my future in his hands and hope he adapts and learns enough to carry the franchise. The reason he isn't in the NBA is simply because no coach has been willing to let their career rise and fall with Jimmer because Jimmer has to dominate the ball to be who he is on the court.

People asking why he's not in the NBA either don't watch basketball or have no concept of logic. He can score 73 in China. He can average 30 points in college. He can win all-star mvp in the D-League. He can't do anything close to that in the NBA. Why? He's too small (6'2 for a shooting guard), he can't play defense, his athleticism doesn't make up for his size, etc. The point is he can't do it in the NBA against REAL competition. Scoring 73 in a CBA literally means nothing.

People tend to ask why no franchise in the NBA wants Jimmer, but the truth is he's a very one-dimensional player. Just look, not only at how slow he is, but also at the fact that he plays very little defense. Not to mention his entire offense consists of only two shots: running floater and the 3. Yeah he's a scoring machine in China (and I do love watching him ball out) but he honestly has no place in the NBA.

I like Jimmer, and 73 points is absolutely huge, but only 3 assists playing pretty much the entirety of a 2OT game which ended in a loss...? The reason he isn't in the NBA is because he is a one-man show who doesn't make his teammates better and is weak on D. But I have to hand it to him -- he can sure shoot the 3 and score.

I have watched almost all of Fredette's games for the past five years. He was simply abused in Sacdemento by Two hapless coaches who obviously had personal issues with Fredette. They lied repeatedly about getting Fredette more playing time on their sorry team . Despite the fact that Fredette had some of the best per minute stats in the NBA he sat and sat and sat..ay one point in mid season he was leading the NBA Guards in Points per minute !! . SCORES and scores of times Fredette would come off of the bench and light it up..Scoring 10, 12 15 points in a quarter or less only to be benched for the rest of the game .Video tape doesn't lie Fredette is not just a Great 3pT shooter , he is a scoring FREAK. He can do it from anywhere on the court . He drives to the hoop as easily as he did in college, is an Excellent passer and facilitator and he Creates his own shot as well as anyone in the game watch this video of Fredette toying with NBA defenders ..10 mins of Fredette scorching NBA defenders: For those who say he isn't quick enough ..That is Just pure Ignorance ..He is Quicker thann ALL of the below NBA All Star Guards : Lane agility Drill : Jimmer Fredette 10.42 Derrick Rose 11.69 John Wall 10.83 Russell Westbrook 10.98 Jrue Holliday 10.64 Watch these two videos..: and see Fredette EMBARRASS all NBA defenders...No one can guard him. kzbin.info/www/bejne/e2GuiWSprJ6Cbs0 Driving Highlights kzbin.info/www/bejne/eZy7XopphpmaaqM Creating his own shot

I don't remember who it was, back in the mid-70s, who said he wasn't interested in any league in which Ernie DiGregorio "wasn't good enough" to play. I feel the same way about Jimmer Fredette, who's as good a shooter as anyone in the NBA now, including Steph Curry. Defense doesn't now, and never has, meant anything in the NSA, so this "D" talk is just a smokescreen for "anti-short white guy" bias.

Im a fan of Jimmer but yall make him look bad by talking about the all star game. He wouldnt even make the all star game probably for a couple years. His subpar athleticism will hurt him at first, but like other subpar athletes in the NBA he'd figure it out. He'd be a great starting knock down shooter in the NBA but he's like AI, he'll never settle for a secondary role. This is his way of saying he can score enough to make up for any lack defensively, like other players currently in the NBA. They need to give him a good role in the NBA in order for him to get used to playing against that athleticism so he can overcome it. But it may never happen. Smh. I was hoping the Cavs picked him up 😂😂😂 That's an automatic door 😂😂

Jimmer will not be able to do this in The NBA level. Not bashing him but it's the cold hard truth, CBA defense is nowhere close to NBA defense. I highly doubt he can do that with a Russell Westbrook on him or a chris Paul. Props to Jimmer tho. Probably the best player in China

¿Que? Not even close. He'll be fortunate enough to average in the double figures.

I can't believe this guy can't make an NBA roster. I know his defense is subpar, but so was the defense of guys like Steve Nash and even Kyle korver. then there's the flip side with guys like Tony Allen or DeAndre Jordan who have next to nothing for offensive skills and specialize at defense. I can't believe he couldn't get minutes, at least as a 3 point specialist

NBA never gave him a chance. Look at his college games where he scored over Kawahi Leonard multiple times. He made Kawahi look like an elementary kid.

Payam Mo Nope, Steph was doing this long before Jimmer, objectively. Watch his highschool and Davidson days.

Contrition in high school curry wasn’t able to shoot from far .😂 one of the reasons why he didn’t do the greatest in high school was because he didn’t have enough strength to shoot from deep range . You obviously don’t know what you are talking about.

The problem with Jimmer being 6'2 was not being a pure point guard. That's how the NBA looked at him. He can score but his college coach should have prepared him to be point cause of height.

Some of you butt hurt fans saying he ain't in the NBA because he is white are hilarious. My dude Jeremy Lin Asian and is the starting PG of the Nets. It's not the color of your skin it's if you can play basketball.

put this man in the Fuckin league. it actually pisses me off how no team gave him the amount of time to see him develop and become great. I mean look at jimmer, he's averaging 50 fuckin points in Asia. I'll even start a petition called "let jimmer play"

Like OKC could not use him. Comments about he's not good enough to be in the NBA, BS! He can hit 3's plain and simple. He would get so many open 3's it would be insane.

Kings & Pelicans ruined his NBA career. He should have played for a team like GSW where he'd play SG instead of PG and he would have the license to shoot 3s

the only reason he is not in Nba is his name is not marketable. he can play in the NBA we all seen it. there excuse is defense but nobody plays defence in nba . he deserves it but won't get it. he just needs to stay in cba he looks like he is having fun and he making money doing it. he was curry before curry came. if jimmer would of had a dad that played in nba he would be where curry at

I see a player that isn't good enough for the NBA dominating against what looks like Division II type college talent playing high school level defense. And they lost.

Andre Roberson is in NBA and jimmer isn't. wtf? and don't tell me that he is a good defender. defeender or not, he plays on shooting guard meaning, he must be able to shoot. that is simple.

Only because of slow defense. You can't take any old NBA player and have them make the kind of shots we saw in this video, whether they're playing in China or at the local gym.
