Daniel is the only son of a wealthy New York couple. When his mother dies in an accident, his father, Roger, remarries to an old woman, Darla. Daniel reprimands her presence and her relation with his dad. He stays in his room all the time and falls into depression. A month later, Darla’s adopted son moves in, Christopher. Christopher and Daniel don’t get along either in the start. One day when Roger isn’t home, Darla locks Daniel in his room and blames him for all the unrest in the house. Christopher doesn’t like this about his step-mom and unlocks the door to let Daniel out. This starts a friendly relationship among them which later leads to them spending most of their time together in the house. They gradually grow intimate until one day, Christopher’s girlfriend, Michaella, shows up out of the blue. Daniel feels betrayed and asks his dad to take Christopher out of the house. Upon insisting a lot, Christopher is sent back to Kansas. Daniel realizes the misunderstanding between them later and starts to miss Chris. He will have to find a way to win his heart again.

I was 17 when my father remarried. Because of her i was disowned for being gay. It wasnt until her death that my father realized he needed my help. But the bridge was burnt. It wasnt until his dying that he finally said he was sorry.
