Joe Bonamassa is a true musical prodigy, he started playing professionally at age nine and opened for BB King during his summer vacation from school at age twelve. He now owns his own record label and has been owning the blues/rock album charts for well over a decade. About a dozen of his albums have reached number one in recent years. Not only is Joe a great talent in his own right but he isn't greedy, he often shares his stage with other great musicians in order to give his audience the experience of other musicians that they might not ever see otherwise. His shows are just plain awesome and if you don't have a chance to see him live there are always his live videos on Joe Bonamassa TV.

And bear in mind, that was Jimmy's son on the drums, and that beautiful voice in the background is his daughter Mahalia. She has sung with Joe as backup in studio recordings, and live too. She has quite a catalogue of her own recordings as well. A beautiful voice.

Big Soul Biz, Bonamassa is a real pro who can squeeze to soul out of his guitar. And Brother Jimmy Barnes sounds soulful and outstanding for a man nearly 70 years old. All of us Old Dawgs in our 70s tip our hats to Jimmy.

Jimmy’s a living legend. Jimmy and Joe Bonamassa are just great together. You need to check out Jimmy’s daughter Mahalia Barnes singing Riding with the kings also with Joe. She’s been a background singer with him too. Jimmy’s kids have all been singing since they were knee-high in a group called the Tin Lids. The whole Barnes family is exceptionally talented.

Joe Bonamassa opened for BB King at the age of 12. He's been playing since he was 4. Jimmy Barnes daughter Mahalia toured with Joe. Check out Riding With The Kings. 5 of Jimmy's kids are in the music industry. The 4 younger one had a group called The Tin Lids when they were young children, even toured with Jimmy. Check out Carol by Candlelight You'll Never Walk Alone with his son David Campbell.

Jimmy began his career with a rock group, Cold Chisel, at only 17 back in 1973. They were considered a pub rock band because that's where they began performing. Please check out Wild Thing, live. Wild Thing is a Troggs song and also covered by Jimmi Hendrix

I love Wild Thing from the Last Stand tour....... The Wildest FERAL rock performance ever seen..... but I’m not sure if Mr Matik is ready for such a basic , rubbish song to be Rocked into another universe. I think our hosts Bizz is more sedate, musical and soul like. lol

I am pretty sure the same sessions Jimmy recorded a few more songs - his cover of 'Cry to me' is great - he also only released a cover last year with one of the original singers from when it was a hit in the 60's - 'Soothe Me' - with Sam Moore (86 when he recorded this) from Sam and Dave (60's fame) - great song great collaboration - Jimmy has many great songs 5 decades almost of great music both with the band 'Cold Chisel' in the early days (legendary band) and solo - Another song really worth a listen is 'Good Times' with INXS - Top notch collaboration - awesome voices

This is the performance that turned me into a Jimmy fan.Your first is always the best. I have since bought a great deal of his catalog but this is still my favorite. And Joe ranks right up there with the best IMO. Here are a couple more choice performances: Jimmy & Joe /"lazy" Cover of the great Deep Purple song Jimmy & Keith Urban/ "Good Times" Keith really rocks for a country star. Jimmy's son kills it on drums Beth Hart/Joe Bonamassa/ I'd Rather Be Blind Goosebumps then tears every time. Beth & Joe/ Black Coffee (almost as good as Marriott)
