Grew up listening to Jimmy. In my young adult hood, really got into his music. Good drinking music. What a great guy! I'll miss him.

"I have been drunk now for over two weeks, passed out and I rallied and I rallied and I smoked a few leaves..." While being on the water is my holy cathedral I've never sailed the open sea. Other than that though...Lord have I lived this life... Great slide show Brother, suits the song to a T! Peace music fans...

Jimmy is a great guy, I was in the Navy and he came out for free to the middle east at a moments notice, paid for everything and came and did a concert for us and hung out with us for 3 days. He's as humble in person as he is in his songs. Jimmy Thanks for coming out and visiting us!!!!! CVN 75 Harry S Truman

Makes me miss my brother like you wouldn't believe. This is a great song. The books that he writes makes you wish for the sea and all that comes with it......without all the commercial shit. Great story teller and musician. I'm ready to leave it all behind.

I love Jimmy Buffets music, but I think this is his best. I hope he doesn't mind that I printed the lyrics out, put em in a picture frame and hung them on my wall. I've always loved the ocean and came to a realization of just how much I do when I lived in South Florida in the late 80's. I hope that if none of my other wishes and dreams come true, at least, my final request will. I want to be buried at sea. I feel it is where I truly belong!

Great Song & Video, in away it's not right to get underway without having some of Jimmy Buffett's beautiful & pleasing arrangements onboard all-ways enjoyed his unique songs. Had two sea captains to say! No.1 "Son there are two things in this life you can't eat, those are surfboards & sailboats!" No.2 "When your money turns brown its time for all fishermen to throw the lines and leave town!" "Over the years those words rang so true even-now they makes me smile-again & set forth a wondering?"

Thank God, my Mom introduced me to Jimmy Buffett when I was a kid she also introduced me to a lot of other great music. Kids today with some exceptions don't know what music is, much of today's music industry personnel are more computer programmers than musicians and once again there are exceptions most people in the music industry wouldn't musical instrument if it jumped up and bit them on the ass.

THIS IS MY FAVORITE SONG OF ALL TIME. GROWING UP IN MIAMI AS I DID, AND SEEING PEOPLE THAT HE DESCRIBES IN THE LYRICS AND HAVING LIVED ALOT OF WHAT HE DESCRIBES JUST BRINGS ME BACK TO A BETTER TIME. THE LINE "MADE ENOUGH MONEY TO BUY MIAMI, BUT I PISSED IT AWAY SO FAST!" REMINDS ME OF SO MANY PEOPLE I KNEW THAT DID THINGS THAT PUT THEM IN A POSITION TO DO EXACTLY THAT, AND BELIEVE ME WHEN I TELL YOU, THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT THEY DID. A NO APOLOGY TIME, IN A PLACE WHERE YOU MADE YOUR OWN PARADISE!!!

My uncle was on his boat at the Hilton Head Marina, when Jimmy walked by. They both said hi, and my uncle asked where he was going. Jimmy said he was headed up to the restaurant to grab some food, and asked my uncle to come along. My uncle declined. About ten minutes later, Jimmy walked back, and said - "guess it doesn't matter who you are, you have to wear shoes to get in the restaurant... It brings a smile to my face that story does...

Um pirata olha para quarenta Jimmy Buffett Por: Jimmy Buffett 1974 Mãe, mãe oceano, eu ouvi você chamar Queria navegar em suas águas desde que eu tinha um metro de altura Você viu tudo, você viu tudo Vi os homens que te montaram mudarem das velas para o vapor E na sua barriga você guarda os tesouros que poucos já viram A maioria deles sonha, a maioria deles sonha Sim, eu sou um pirata, duzentos anos atrasado Os canhões não trovejam, não há nada para saquear Eu sou uma vítima do destino com mais de quarenta anos Chegando tarde demais, chegando tarde demais Eu fiz um pouco de contrabando, eu administrei minha parte na grama Ganhei dinheiro suficiente para comprar Miami, mas irritei tudo tão rápido Nunca quis durar, nunca quis durar E eu estou bêbado há mais de duas semanas Eu desmaiei e me recuperei e tive alguns vazamentos Mas eu parei de desejar, tenho que ir pescar Até o fundo do poço novamente Apenas alguns amigos, apenas alguns amigos (instrumental) Eu gosto de mulheres mais jovens, morei com várias por um tempo Embora eu os tenha fugido, eles voltariam um dia Ainda conseguia sorrir Só demora um pouco, só demora um pouco Mãe, mãe oceano, depois de todos os anos que encontrei Meu risco ocupacional, sendo minha ocupação, simplesmente não existe Eu sinto que me afoguei, vou para a parte alta da cidade Código: Eu sinto que me afoguei, vou para a parte alta da cidade A Pirate Looks At Forty Jimmy Buffett By: Jimmy Buffett 1974 Mother, mother ocean, I have heard you call Wanted to sail upon your waters since I was three feet tall You've seen it all, you've seen it all Watched the men who rode you switch from sails to steam And in your belly you hold the treasures few have ever seen Most of 'em dream, most of 'em dream Yes I am a pirate, two hundred years too late The cannons don't thunder, there's nothin' to plunder I'm an over-forty victim of fate Arriving too late, arriving too late I've done a bit of smugglin', I've run my share of grass I made enough money to buy Miami, but I pissed it away so fast Never meant to last, never meant to last And I have been drunk now for over two weeks I passed out and I rallied and I sprung a few leaks But I got stop wishin', got to go fishin' Down to rock bottom again Just a few friends, just a few friends (instrumental) I go for younger women, lived with several awhile Though I ran 'em away, they'd come back one day Still could manage to smile Just takes a while, just takes a while Mother, mother ocean, after all the years I've found My occupational hazard being my occupation's just not around I feel like I've drowned, gonna head uptown Coda: I feel like I've drowned, gonna head uptown
