Timothy B. Schmidt was a great addition to "The Reefers" for those 3 years or so... Great bass playing and exceptional backing vocals... Proven here.. Saw JB with TBS usually at Kings Dominion near Richmond VA... What a blast! I was 18 years old then... Saw JB my first time age 14---I was hooked...

This was a VHS tape originally. In the early part of the the show (between Grapefruit and We are the Parents) he says “…we’re making a parrot head film so you can this shit home…” I was surprised it never went to DVD, but think it was probably an issue with MCA. Bubba fans would have bought it up, but video was never available after the VHS release. But now we have KZbin! 😊

Yep, this was straight off my VHS. I learned a lot about transferring old videotapes and films to digital in 2020, so I put those skills to use on a few gems from what's left of my VHS collection. I'll probably put the VHS up on ebay this year.

Eagles had broken up in 1980 (the first time) by the time of this concert. Eagles and Buffett were pals, so it was natural for Timothy to be his bassist. Timothy B. Schmit coined the phrase “Parrot Head” as everyone who reads this comment knows. Josh Leo, lead guitarist, is a Nashville first call and still owns Nashville. Mike Utley…no words for their incomparable, professional friendship/partnership from beginning to end. Sam Clayton (formerly of Little Feat) plays the congas. Little Feat was effectively gone during this same time due to Lowell George’s death. Both Eagles and Little Feat saw a resurgence. Buffett had so many famous, professional musicians in his Coral Reefer bands and albums is hard to keep up. Rest in peace to Greg Taylor. The original Coral Reefer.
