Jimmy's death hurt so bad. No other celebrity or musician felt as genuine as Jimmy. He always loved the gulf coast and surfing and marine biology and he never stopped being passionate about that lifestyle no matter how famous he was. There is no one like him left.

When he passed it was a sense of sorrow that I cannot shake. It was like losing part of your soul. There will never be another Jimmy Buffett. We lost a true American treasure.

I been a loyal fan since I first saw Jimmy AR the University of California at Berkeley's Outdoor Theater in the early days. Jimmy had a way He always made you feel you were included in the party. He always knew how to include everyone in the good times no matter what city and venue he was. Every song is tied together with the next. The Coral Reef Band was one of his proudest achievements. He ran a tight ship on stage and on the water. He could string a whole group of songs seamlessly Pick a song and for that five minutes thats your favorite. 😢

Every one of his concerts was just one huge party. Had seats in the GA, grass area at the top, jumped into a conga line and conga'd right by the stage, maybe 10 feet from the man, who smiled as he watched all of us dance by. Quite possibly the coolest (and most definitely the most laid-back) guy in any type of music. Putting on this show at that time is just another example of his coolness. I remember watching this live on CMT when he held this. Parrot heads keep on rockin'!!!
