Thanks for your heartwarming stories about Jimmy. I came to appreciate your music via Mac Macnally, and later found you had a friendship with Jimmy. I saw you on a zoom call with Jimmy during the lockdowns, and heard you sing "Breathe In, Breathe Out, Move On". A beautiful song. In the words of Bob Dylan, to Jimmy: " May your heart always be joyful, May your song always be sung, May you stay Forever Young."

I offered this to you before and I thought I should repeat it now: Although I play no instrument and could not carry a tune in an 18 wheel dump truck, music has and always will be one of the most significant influences on my being. I once said of Mr. Buffett that I could not listen to any song of his and not be in a better mood, albeit sometimes with a tear in my eye, a lump in my throat, and an ache in my heart. You, my dear lady, are the only artist who has that same effect upon me. PLEASE (as Mr. Buffett might offer) maintain speed and course. Thank you from my deepest soul for your contribution to the world and my heart. Mr. Buffett was a treasure beyond measure. Beyond your tribute the most lasting one is how many he touched in so many ways and how each of us returned that touch! Fins and bubbles up!!!

I first met Jimmy in 1973. I was 12 y/o. He was still unknown except in the Keys. His best friend Larry was my best friends older brother. We were fishing off a dock at Larry’s parents house in Marathon. Larry and Jimmy came over to fish with us. As I grew older I had the privilege of joining him backstage or at concert after parties. I met Fingers and most of the band many times. My friend is gone now. Hearing of Jimmy’s passing makes me sad and brings back all those great memories of my childhood friend. They are together now and enjoying that cheeseburger in Paradise. God bless you Jimmy. Thanks for all those memories. Thank you, Caroline, for sharing your memories with us. May his songs live on forever.

It's 5 o'clock somewhere, and I'm ready for a trip around the sun. I love changes in latitudes, they make me feel alive and free. I don't mind being a pirate looking at 40, I have seen so many wonders and adventures. Come Monday, I'll be sailing away again, with a smile on my face and a song in my heart. Why don't we get drunk and forget our troubles, we only live once and we deserve some fun. I'm a son of a son of a sailor, and I'll always follow the sea. RiP Jimmy Buffett... Songs will live on forever...

Watching this has caused me to want to share my spiritual connection with Jimmy. I saw him in concert a half dozen times in the late 70s and early 80s. Then in 2005 my fiance was diagnosed with cancer and I heard his new song Anything, anytime, anywhere and decided to go ahead with the wedding in spite knowing it would be short (3.5 years ). It was the best thing I've ever done and I thank him for steering me. You live on Jimmy

My family watched him in Gulf Shores at the oil spill concert. My daughter was 4. She and I went back to The Wharf when she was about 12 and watched him again. Just the 2 of us. She dressed us both in parrothead clothes. It poured down rain and we had the best time. She is 17 now and plays acoustic, electric and bass. When she woke up Saturday morning I told her Jimmy had passed away. She cried. A 17 year old crying at the death of a 76 year old musician she saw live two times. That’s pretty impressive of Jimmy in my eyes. I still can’t get it through my head there will never be another Buffett concert. I miss him like crazy, already.

Many of the tributes you see when people pass will talk about successes and how they did something better than almost everybody else. Now that I have seen so tributes about Jimmy from people who truly knew, it seems like what he did better than almost everybody else was being a decent human being and using his talents for good. His music has always been a form of escapism for me (and clearly millions of others had a similar reaction) and I hope that generations to come will know that his music came from a good person who so enjoyed sharing it with those who needed it… and I mean I needed it. Thank you, Jimmy, for making my world a brighter place. Thank you, Caroline, for help us come to terms with losing such a wonderful person, musician, and friend (even though I never got to meet him).

I’m 46 years old, I have been a parrot head since I was 10 years old. I never got to see him in person. His music got me through so many hard times, and made the good times even better. I feel like I’ve lost a close family member. I’ve never been so sad about someone who I never met personally dying. But I have spent so many years listening to his music, it feels like I’ve lost a really close friend. Thank you Jimmy! You were one of a kind, there will never be another like you! Thank you Caroline. You describe him just as I imagined. He will live forever though the music!

JB’s passing will hurt us for quite some time. I don’t recall such a collective sadness from fans regarding a musician--few “celebrities” could evoke such feelings. The world lost more than a musician-it lost one of the greatest ambassadors of joy. Summers will never be the same without him but will always better because OF him. We mourn with you, and hope that we can leave grief in the wake behind the boat one day soon…

That would begreat all he loved and helped doing an album in a tribute sort of way Jimmy was lucky in his life too. The man that wrote one of my favorite songs Bo Jangles and up against the wall you Redneck mother. They had a certain something in common Jerry Jeff walker. Now young lady it’s your time to shine Feel in love with who you are in that great video the difference. Should have won a video award. And the one about the dog. Love it. Funny I’m 83 played in the road for 64 years and also have done radio shows did one about you when not many knew who you were. Your not only a great talent but your a beautiful lady inside and our. At 83 I met Elvis in Vegas in Dec of 1976 the last time he played there. I knew in 1954 he would be big In 2015 I found another beautiful lady and knew she would be huge. We have our music on SoundCloud Billie Eilish and when I heard you do a video just singing and playing a 5 string Banjo about a do old blue I thought what an amazing voice and I’d bet that what Jimmy thought when he first heard you. See you got married and sure hope you guys are happy. He is one lucky guy. God bless your career I think it’s your time to shine even brighter.

I saw Jimmy Buffet in the 1980's at the hotel I worked at and he was getting into Limousin with these 2 ladies. I have his book and listen to him on my cassette player on loop about every day. I will miss him
