When does Adam Silver start getting some of the blame for the horrendous current state of the NBA? Stop babying players and Refs.

it's a good question. He (Adam) certainly soaked up the early praise when he was dealing with the Donald Sterling situation but pretty much everything since then has been bad. He has successfully added more games to the season when pretty much everyone universally declares the way to help make the NBA more interesting is reducing the schedule.

Shaq is the world's largest baby. He's like Lebron. All this money, fame and accomplishments and he still has low self-esteem. EDIT: I seemed to have struck a chord. I'll explain why I mentioned Lebron. Shaq and Lebron are very different, both as players and people. But what they share is self-esteem issues. Shaq can't admit he is wrong and is a bully. Lebron has an insatiable need for attention and adoration. An example of that is when he mimics crowning himself. Can you see Brady or MJ or Gretzky doing that? And he has only recently starting backing down on declaring himself the GOAT. Probably because of the blow-back. Mahomes is on the cusp of possibly dethroning Brady as the GOAT. Could you imagine him pushing that narrative? No way. Because he has a healthy psyche that doesn't need to be artificially propped up. Lebron is one of the greatest players ever and over-all a good person. But his need to be seen as the GOAT is really sad.

Imagine how much money the owners are making to pay him 50 mil. There is so much behind the scenes with the owners that is purposely not spoken about through the media. People really do have a master- slave mentality. Owners take more risks than players financially, however, players take risks physically and financially. It's a business. But, because owners have lawyers that write contracts that protect them and their assets and not the players, it means they profit off of that player and have the right, although not morally but legally, to void and/or amend as they see fit. Most people don't know that. The saying it's a cutt-throat business is a real thing because of immoral tactics like these with businesses.

i don't mind Butler's stats, sure he isn't pushing all-star level like he should but at least his FG% isn't bad, he hasn't given up he's just not pushing himself. he needs to be in a different team...well he has to be because those wounds don't heal between a coach and a player.

The Butler saga is only one of the many reasons why the NBA viewer coverage has dropped maybe 52% in the US. Most people including many executives don't get paid US$48.7 million a year. He doesn't get his extension demands so he tanks his value? Doesn't even have a chip.

Jimmy Butler like Paul George has always been Glorified Role players. They have never been a "Star" in the sense of the word. He is a Modern Day Glenn "Big Dogg" Robinson as for stats and so forth. Solid numbers, but not a Super star

Riley shouldn't have said the things that ignited all this, it was completely unnecessary, but the way Butler has conducted himself since is completely unacceptable. He signed a very lucrative contract and he should honor it. He is not owed an extension.

Tanking his own value is strategic. The less value you have the team you are going to needs to give up. Puts that team in a better situation.

I stand with Jimmy Butler I always stand with players during contract disputes If you don't want the man on the team just trade him. It's not really for us or even the heat to decide if he deserved that extension the market sets the price and he will hit the free agent market very soon and we will see what he's worth
@PeteringYT8 күн бұрын
The CBA makes trading Jimmy extremely difficult. PHX is a second apron team and has the highest payroll in the league. Jimmy must be traded to get what he wants. If he hits free agency, only the Nets can offer him the max he wants, and they are in rebuild mode and stated they are not interested in him. Not a lot of teams want to pay an injury prone 36 year old locker room cancer a max extension.

As great Jimmy was, he’s gonna be 36 this year. Seeking for max contract extension. Ain’t no way he’s gonna contribute as much as he was 4-5 years ago. The Suns are desperate enough to pay a third option that max money but having 3 max players and have a crappy depth, would not push them to championship contenders
