Listening to the press conference of the Dallas GM made me thinking he is insane. "Defense wins championships" and then u trade ur best player for a player that is ingure prone... Is AD defensively good? Yes he is great on 2 sides of the court. But he is 32 has 2-3 years tops. The defense comment in this era where most is 3-pointers and paint defence works more against teams that are weak on 3 point shooting is pure stupidity. I just dont get it. And lets not forget AD gets cooked by players of his size quite often.

My guess is Mavs higher-ups know Luka's knees are caving in, so he won't retain his trading value for long. It's possible that Luka's apparent extra weight results from massive use of cortisone administered to his knees. Just making suppositions for what might explain this apparently incoherent trade.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but this seems like Silver made this happen. If the Mavs really wanted to shop Luka, they would have opened it up and let all the times make an offer to get the best deal. From everything we have heard, they only approached the Lakers with this deal and therefore got a weak deal in response.

And another sad part to this is that Doncic will be another victim to Lebron's agenda.

This trade has just only clarify something that everyone has foreseen for some years : Loyalty is officially dead.
