I disagree when you say the Heat never wanted to trade Tyler Hero. They tried to trade him on two different occasions (Damian Lilliard, Donovan Mitchell i.e.) and nobody wanted him. Now Tyler's' trade value is at an all time high because he is playing like an All Star. I am sure Miami will not trade him now unless it is for a Super Star type of player, which nobody is offering right now.

You have GMs in the NBA who know when to move on from a star. The Heat though have a president that is out of touch with how to handle today's players and can no longer get super stars to join the team.

After next season ends bam is making 50+ mill, niko and haywood are extendable and tyler is contract extendable this summer. How they can possibly extend jimmy for 2 or 3 years is nonsensical. You almost HAVE TO trade him to save your franchise fornthe end of the decade.

Troll Jimmy at 36, and diminishing skills is not worth a max deal. Jimmy wants to stay and it's clear. He should take 3 years 75 mil (DeRozan money) and call it a career. If not the dude should just get traded for picks or just opt out and go about his business. The Heat need cap room to get better.
