Now they are saying he's great, like, what the heck? Why does everyone always say the person doesn’t know ball over an opinion lol?
@adamdavis53832 күн бұрын
@@briantcruz3120he's not wrong Westbrook, aka Westbrook, does brick a lot and is only shooting 30% from three, which is horrible; his free throw percentage is 63%. He normally shoots anywhere from 56% to 66%, which is absolutely horrible for a point guard. How do you go from being an 80+% free throw shooter to getting worse? Even in his prime, most people improve, not get worse. He was a good midrange shooter too in his early days with KD, but that year KD left, he went on a tear averaging a triple double, which is crazy, but if you see how he shoots, he does brick shots pretty badly, even open shots, or air balls them. That's why they leave him open sometimes; he's so open he won’t shoot it. He is putting up 12 points a game, which is decent. He's definitely a Hall of Famer, but he's never been known as a great shooter, just explosiveness and a great dunker, as a great rebounder, but he turns over the ball a lot and is sloppy. He had three turnovers today, which is low for him, but he at least has 1-5 turnovers every night they play. He is not the dunker he was. I never knew why he never joined the dunk contest, same with LeBron.

He only had 9 points. You act as if he were 35-40. He had 8 assists, which is good, but Wemby absolutely killed it on the boards, but Jokic did too; that was a good matchup. What is even more sick is Jokic shot 36 shots to get 41 points and shot 42%, which isn’t high for him. Wemby only shot 21 shots and shot 14 from 21 and had one less field goal than Jokic. He played great defense on Jokic; his length was making Jokic work hard for 41 points. He had to work and shoot a lot to get it. Wemby only shot 4 free throws; Jokic shot 9 free throws, and Wemby shot 4 from 6 from three. What is amazing from Wemby is he can dribble for his height and step back as if he is a point guard. He is a point center drafting castle, getting Westbrook and getting Harrison Barnes over helped. I would rather have them start Kelson Johnson over Barnes. Barnes is decent, but he is not as good as he used to be. I'm glad Vassell started; he was really good last year and deserved it. He was a good starter. Champagnie came out of nowhere for them but was a good pickup. He was undrafted too and ended up paying off just like how Austin Reaves was undrafted, but every year he gets better. Good thing they didn’t trade him. Fox would have been great, especially with throwing lobs to AD, but Reaves you have to keep.

It is just crazy how amazing Wemby is in just in his second year. He is definitely making the All-Star appearance this year. The dude is just unreal; in a couple of years, an MVP candidate. They need one great role player and another superstar, Wemby. Paul is a great player, but at this point in his career, he is not as good a shooter at midrange. I feel if Castle gets a better jump shot from long distance, he could be their superstar. Look how bad Sheppard is; they probably wish they picked Castle instead, but Sheppard was so good from long distance he was better than. All the players on his team that had more hype in the beginning of the year, but he went to a loaded team where he won’t get much playing time, and expectations are high on him, but so far he looks like a bust. Sarr doesn't look good either; he shoots too many threes instead of crashing the boards, and the Hawks first pick that no one heard of isn’t that good. It would be crazy if the Pelicans somehow got the first pick and got Flagg; he's going to be insane, but the 2026 draft looks deep, so does the 2025 draft. It's not super deep but better than 2024, which was one of the worst drafts since the draft where the Suns drafted Bender, who averaged 4 points that year, which I have no idea why they drafted him. They should have picked Donic over Ayton too.

This was a great game. There are ways the Spurs can make their sets easier. On the switch, if the player is behind Wemby as he rolls of the pick (Wemby is inside toward the rim), it should be an automatic high lob to the rim. Teams insist on using guards and small forwards on him. The Spurs need to take advantage of this. He could have at least 20 points on this alone. If they are giving him a free rool, he needs to roll all the way to the rim. He stops short, and this is because no one is looking for him to roll to the rom. Punish teams for doing this.

Murray shoud watch this ending over and over before making case for himself in front of the press. He can see how few game winners and 7-10 great games in a season are nothing when you compare it with 50 average games like this one. He's like a roll player, with 3 mil per year contract, except he's getting much more than that... Porter Jr. Is doing very good lately. He was in the same position as Murray, but he made it through. Sadly, Murray will never...

Why wouldn’t the nuggets take a time out only down 3 with 1.7 left? Instead of rushing a crazy shot like that

and also why did Vassell rush to score?

It is sad to see the state of the NBA nowadays. . Except for 1 pick and roll, all the other plays were ISOs from the perimeter. Plenty of ill attempted 3s. Very poor defense. Horrendous!! No hate on Denver or Spurs, 2 of my favorites teams. That tells you all you need to know.

Could you imagine an NBA team being coached by one of Serbias best coaches? They would destroy the other teams. I think theres something deeper going on in that the powers that be that own everything dont want to promote the true power of unity and teamwork. Not good for them.

Big problem for coach MM Denver Nuggets. How to explain the poor results - and you have the MVP and Jamal M. - who is the 4th highest paid player in the NBA - under a new contract. You have players with max contracts MPJ on the team, and no one wants him in the NBA for a bag of popcorn. Coach MM keeps Jamal M. in the starting lineup until he scores at least 14 points - even if he loses the game, Jamal M. must score several points with scandalous percentages for the coach to justify the contract with Jamalon higher than Kevin Durant. All opponents know that in important moments of the game the ball must be in Jokic's hands. Jamal M - MPJ are players overrated and adored by the coach, but in reality they are players who would not be starters anywhere. Coach MM is probably leaving Denver at the end of the season.

Jokic knew he can't take an easy shot against Wemby by just pushing and an easy layup, cause Wemby can still block that with his length. So he faded away and still realized he couldn't make it so took a bad decision with a bad pass
@JoshKruger-o4gКүн бұрын
It wasn't a bad pass, there was no movement from the team to get an open passing lane, and he was about to be blocked. If anyone cuts it's an easy pass, even the announcers talked about it.
@ryanelli9841Күн бұрын
@@JoshKruger-o4g since he scored 40+ his team mates already depended on him, that's why they are used to waiting during clutch secs, and it was a makeable shot if it wasn't Wemby. It means it affected Jokic's decision since he knew Wemby has the capability to block a fadeaway shot

For this game, I agree that Westbrook was the only one showing significant effort. Joker and Murray disappeared.
@lynco3296Күн бұрын
In this clip alone, Jokic had two solid assists and a great basket over Wemby. He was far from perfect but saying he disappeared is too much.
@OmetecuhtliКүн бұрын
2 fouls by Westbrook, one turns into a 3-ptr and another a +1 by Keldon, then CP3 blows by him for another basket. If Westbrook dissapeared, Denver would've won the game.

I'm confused. Is Denver's D really so bad when it comes to switching, or they actually want little guys on Wemby and not Jokic? Was Jokic in foul trouble?
@OmetecuhtliКүн бұрын
Tried to steal the ball on Wemby's dribble which actually worked in some way. Of course you'd want a bigger, mobile player like Aaron Gordon but unfortunately he wasn't available.

Denver deserved this L (except Jokic and Westbrook) 3:57 tf was that? no off ball movements, these guys just waiting for Jokic to do everything and it happened in several possesions just in this 7min clip ..If Denver is serious about winning another chip they need to trade some of these bums, including Murray he is too inconsistent to be relied upon…Right now they have a good shot of landing Butler (someone who actually wants to win) they can trade mpj, murray and a couple of 1st rd picks..If they don’t do it soon they’re just wasting Jokic’s prime🤷♂️
