The swedish/finnish/danes/norwegians have more salty stuff, with salmiakki in everything, while we have more of the sweet stuff, but plenty is very salty and salmiakki-flavoured as well haha. People find it funny to give it to foreigners to see their reaction. Some like it, but most spit it out and say; 'That tastes like a horrible kind of medicine, why would you enjoy that?'

I've loved liquorice (licorice in the US) since I was a kid. Either chewing on the root, or later when we were given the ''Allsorts'' made by Bertie Basset. I can still today, happily (and easily) demolish a bag of Liquorice Allsorts, or the black liquorice wheels in a matter of minutes. Yes, it can give you side effects (like the shits the next day) if you eat too much, but, that goes with anything you eat too much of. Moderation is the key. I guess you either like it or loathe it. Some people prefer the red liquorice, but me? it's the dark stuff for the win. What's the saying? ''Once you go black, there's no going back!'' LOL
