I feel like I've never had taste buds until I ate Korean food for the first time in my 30's. I grew up in Florida where there's only Americanized Asian restaurants. Since living in Southern California for 22 years, I purposely live in Asian suburbs to have close proximity to the grocery stores. Hubby and I are Caucasian, but cook Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Thai at home on most days. My neighborhood smells like heaven around dinner time and I love going for walks just to get a whiff of everyone's kitchen. If people have shamed you for your food, it's because they have chicken McNugget palates. They have NO clue what good food is and probably eat Kraft mac-n-cheese thinking it's Italian.

@@kimstephh Also some of the kids are in a different year, right? And this was like the "senior trip" they gave the boys? So if that's the case and I'm not mistaken it could be a combination of 1)consent from parents 2)family obligations 3)not being in their last year so they didn't get to go on what was essentially the senior trip for these guys. I don't think Josh and Ollie would ever purposefully leave out any of the boys for no real reason, but I could be wrong.

You know ive seen this series close to a dozen times now and i think it works so well with these boys because they're so well-mannered and open-minded which comes across the screen as a group of boys that are genuinely interested, thankful, and satisfied with this new food experience. And idk how thorough the KE team's casting process was but either they got really lucky with these boys or these boys are just naturally media trained for the camera. Literally a match made in heaven. (Better duo than ssamjjang and kkot deungshim - @47:46) There's something so satisfying about people that arent Korean embracing the food culture of another country. Ok im done yapping :D TL;DR - the british boys and korean food is a match made in heaven.

This channel legit introduced me to Korean Food lol. My uni mates were always banging about Kimchi and other various Korean foods but i always was sceptical and never tried it. Ive heard a lot about Korean food and thought it was overhyped, without ever trying it. Long story short , 10 years after graduation, Watching this series made me curious about the cuisine and here i am making Korean egg cabbage Toast and ttboeaki on my own . I guess i needed that push , that curiosity, something i never got from my uni mates. To Jack and Ollie, thanks guys
