Such a legend. He deserved a second term at some point. He was unlucky with the whole islamic revolution and hostages and also the gas prices hitting Americans from the actions of the Arabs and the crisis in the middle east. He was so ahead of his time. Renewable energy sources, peace with Egypt and Israel, separation of Church and State even though he is a preacher, department of education, department of energy. Protecting Alaska's landscapes. List goes on. Americans came to appreciate him lately. Abroad he was always appreciated.

Hi Dr. Nancy: I turned 70 last year! Having a good sense of humor helps me deal with getting older. I gifted myself a tee shirt that says, " I survived the 60's-TWICE!" LOL! I was fortunate to be able to have a very brief conversation with Jimmy Carter when I worked on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation Habitat for Humanity project Summer 1994! I was 40 then , Jimmy was 70. I am 70 now and he turned 100 last year! One of the very best experiences in my life! This is the same tribe that went through the horrific Wounded Knee Massacre December 29,1890. Jimmy Carter died on December 29,2024, 134 years ago!

Listen to the Lion...Once Love, Faith, Hope and Common Sense was the ideal yet, today, anything goes and greed is being sold to anyone who listens. My heart is broken. Those who know the facts, I think, are living with the knowledge of all the atrocities of history perhaps have become complacent. Thank you Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter, I was blessed by being given the same faith through my Aunt Dot and Uncle Ben. We only love regardless and never judge. If there is anyone our youth should value and emulate is Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter. Perhaps, the passing is the opportunity to open up a dialog of being good to each other.

Observations on passing of President Jimmy Carter... He was a good may who spent his life attempting to DO what he honestly believed God gave him to do. He was an intelligent man who wrote many books and was once qualified to be second in command of a nuclear submarine. When he ran for re-election the ‘book’ on him was that he simply was not the street-smart politician it takes to be an effective President. To any degree that may be true, perhaps it was because he was a good man.

I remember gas was 19cents and thought WoW 😲 price has gone up. My starting pay at the hospital was 2.05 and it took five years to make a nickel raise and absolutely no benefits and after 50 years benefit was a two week vacation at the time they said you could have it. I would never ever suggest to anyone be a nurse but in the 60 a woman choices were. Teacher. Nurse or get married and have kids. That's it

Extremely interesting but the normal retired person is not a ex president women weren't allowed in the service and made aprox 65 percent of income for the same hours worked and came home to thir second full time job. You can't come close to the cost of medical care now. Families used to inherit wealth farm etc. Now the billionaires owned everything from the huge cost of illness
@newnewhutchison99113 күн бұрын
That's what happens when you retire pay hospitals and Dr and medical bills. Just one surgery cost 250 OOO doll and I had seven surgeries thanks for nursing working and lifting like dog's
