I used to record these, on Sunday afternoons, on my old reel to reel. I put cards outside my bedroom door saying 'Quiet please-recording'. I also recorded Beyond our Ken & Round the Horne. Thems wuz the days!! Thanks D.A.M. They can't take away ya memories!

Hi Jeffrey. I use to do a similar thing with my reel to reel, but my house was very noisy when I was young, because my Dad at the time was always building something or knocking down walls, he could only do it at the weekend when the Clitheroe Kid was on. Do you still have those reel to reel recordings?

dermot. Nice to know there's other nutters, like me, who did the same in spotty teenagership. No I dont know what happened to those r-to-r tapes. I've moved so many times and lived abroad I'd be amazed if I did still have them. Who's got a r-to-r player anyhoo!? Not me!!

One of my family members has a reel to reel, and you can lso get them on e-bay from time to time.

+Jeffrey I did the same, with the same Sunday afternoon shows, The Clitheroe Kid and Round the Horne. Beyond our Ken I remember but I didn't have a tape recorder so early. I transferred a few of the shows to cassettes in the 1970s. Amazed to find that other teenagers (at that time) were recording like this!
