When I was a lad I was an avid autograph hunter. I waited outside the Stage Door of a Theatre with a few other collectors for Jimmy to turn up. As the car pulled up he was sprawled out asleep on the back seat. His friend (the driver) woke him up and he got out of the car. He laughed and joked with us before signing our books and giving us a signed photo each. I have listened to all the episodes in the past and never tire of listening to them over and over again. Danny Ross was a tremendous cast member, as were all the others. Superb casting and Comedy. Thanks for posting these Dermot, and greetings from Scarborough.

@@joemorrison9342 He plays Uncle Angus, the somewhat querulous brother of Peter Sinclair. I wouldn't mind a small bet on the casting for Fraser in Dad's Army having been based upon it.

@@paulsawtell3991 I should've noticed that voice. So many magnificent actors appeared on this show. Each and every one are so good the characters seem almost real to me. I have an image of each one and nearly feel as if I'm in that room with them . It takes me away to simpler and happier times.

Love listening to jimmy and alfie and to think poor danny ross would die of a heart attack at the age of 45 just 2 years after jimmy so so sad
