My husband would take our grandson out to see the moon before bed everynight we had him. Pawpaw died when our grandson was 3 and he looks for the moon every night before bed. He believes Pawpaw is on the moon. This song is priceless.

My cousin sent this song to me when I was dealing with the death of my mama & I had moved away from my family and became homesick. I fell in love with it! My daddy passed away yesterday and I couldn't sleep so decided to listen to this song, it is such a touching song and I am thankful to my cousin for ever introducing it to me!

I knew this had to be a true story because you can't make up those lyrics and it made my day that you just confirmed it! I was actually turned on to this song by William Lee Golden of the Oak Ridge Boys when he recorded a solo album in the mid 90's with this song. It's a generational thing so I wasn't even really familiar with Wet Willie, but now that I have listened to this version and other songs, I am hooked!
