For real! Math had grown. I don’t think I can watch the rest of this drunk angry interview. Math was asking pertinent questions, that deserved answers. Yayo acts like he doesn’t know this is an interview, and it’s not about what Math knows or doesn’t. Why talk so pleasantly with everyone else but treat Math like this? Everyone doesn’t know all this ancient street nonsense. Yayo is old and ignorant still. He’s the perfect yes man for someone like Fifty. “He’s right because he’s rich?”, I hope he realizes there’s always someone with more money. What won’t he do for money then? Should Puff put a bag on Fifty’s head then for talking ish? Ridiculous. This is what I don’t respect! They promote the ignorance and got rich from it, but won’t tell the truth about their own part in what they did wrong. He’s losing his mind because Math is asking questions on an interview. Why so hostile? He brought up Tax as if the media was trying to bully Troy ave, that was all Tax. He’s getting his consequences just like Casanova is getting his . I wish they both would have valued the once in a lifetime opportunity given to them, instead they squandered it.

To be fair, where Chris Lighty (rest in peace) was running heavy at in the NYC nightclub scene in the mid-to-late 1980s was Union Square and Latin Quarters. Yayo was way too young for that era. Now let's not get it twisted, Brooklyn ran Union Square and Brooklyn had a large presence at Latin Quarters back in the days too. However, Lighty was apart of the formidable Violators crew from the Bronx, which was an off-shoot from Zulu Nation, and the Violators held down security for DJ Red Alert at Union Square and other places. And Lighty was teenager, leading shit, organizing and holding things down at those venues. Lighty was nice with the hands, and even got into a fight with Big Daddy Kane's man, a goon out of Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn by the name of Hawk. The word was that Lighty and Hawk got into an argument outside of Latin Quarters, and Lighty punched Hawk in the mouth and then a brawl ensued. Lighty was no punk and was very fearless. The Tunnel nightclub wasn't poppin as a major Hotspot for hip-hop and street cats until the mid-1990s. Before that, Tunnel was doing mostly house music, except for "Hip-House" Fridays back in 1989 and 1990. Yes, Lighty was there, but a lot of his time was devoted to road managing and managing for the Jungle Brothers, Boogie Down Productions and A Tribe Called Quest, eventually building his management company and working at labels like Relativity, before he went to Def Jam and Loud Records. I had to give that history, because Lighty was a force in the NYC nightclub scene mid-to-late 1980s, and the Tunnel was not one of the spots that street cats often went to back then. Don't get me wrong, you would see some hip-hop stars there on a Friday night like LL Cool J, Special Ed, Gangstarr, etc. But the Tunnel's rep with hip-hop and street cats didn't begin until 1994, when their parties were on Sunday nights. By this time, Lighty was a record business executive. Rest in peace Chris Lighty.
