I'm glad it happened in a regular season game that was won in spite of the play. What pisses me off is that last year when T. Hunter got hit after he was out of bounds and lacerated his liver on what was easily a late hit dirty play by Colorado State and that kid wasn't even penalized. Which was more egregious? So in my opinion they are worried about the wrong thing in an unbalanced way. If anything this should have been a 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct accessed on the kickoff return.

I saw the play live when it happened and couple of times on video replay. I simply do not see that Jimmy Horn Jr. did anything to deserve a penalty, or have a touchdown called back. Can somebody help me understand why flashing a peace sign as you are motoring past a slower / out of position defender is met with taking six points off the board? If it was wrong or showboating or taunting, Deion would have handled it privately.

If throwing a peace sign up as I'm runnin past you is a taunting foul, then every successful play against the opposing team should be considered taunting. If you are slower than me or I get you on the field you will have hurt feelings. That's life not taunting. This shit is getting weak and the NCAA needs to completely be revamped to fit into todays society. They want these young men to be strong and violent only when they say so but then they expect them to flip a switch just like that. Anybody, payin attention knows that these refs are out here on another level when it comes to officiating CU Buffs games. They let them do all this stuff from pee-wee through hs but when they get to college and money is really on the line, they want them to play soft. It sounds as if they want to even the field for some of their weaker and slower athletes and that's not fair. We know there's a script for NCAA and the NFL but it's time to do away with those corrupt things and let these young men play. I'm starting to see why so many other say American football is getting weak, and it's because of all the politics that surround the players and the game.

Giving the peace sign is basic backyard after school love of the game that "the fast kids" use. Coach Sanders told the Wr Coach to stop chastising Jimmy and put him back in the game. My man in the blue was not one of the fast kids. Neither were most of the NCAA rule makers. Only Deion Sanders or a fellow fast kid can know the player to know if he has a arrogant personality or love for the game. This penalty was created with Deion Sanders running up the sideline staring at his opponent in mind. Keep in mind other NCAA Football athletes have done the same this year and it was not called. Who is a ref to Judge intention? Intention is a right reserved to The Most High and at best reserved for the player's personal coach who knows the player better than a ref. If Jimmy were to throw up his middle finger then the NCAA and ref would be in the right. This was just another form of inferior man inserting himself into the game. This rule is outdated and needs to be updated like NIL money. These kids are paid. Can't be having billions wagered on a referee's interpretation of a human feelings emotion such as a taunt. Ref feels the peace sign is a taunt. I feel the peace sign is apropo to end global wars. The action is not a taunt worthy action. Its anti war.

They call it a “Tyreek Hill” peace sign on the live broadcast. That is how frequently it happens in the NFL. Prime tells his team not to do anything on the field that could lead to a penalty. Shilo mentioned this last year as a reason he did not celebrate when running back a pick 6. I am _sure_ Horn like many of us did not realize this was a live ball penalty and it will be a teaching moment.

That rule should be changed. The punishment doesn't fit the crime. A live ball penalty that removes a touchdown should be one that in affect creates the opportunity for the touchdown such as holding, block in back. How did that give Horn jr. an unfair advantage to score. it ain't like he could have said Beep Beep like the Roadrunner. 😂😂😂 What if he stopped and fell backwards into the end zone then what.
