Any time I see Jimmy Jam (or Terry Lewis) in an interview I get excited. Jimmy is one of the best communicators of music and observers of life. His way of explaining and expressing things around him draws you in.

Wow, that's actually scary how accurate this algorithm is. So basically, I'm demoing a song for someone and I've been re-recording the demo vocals over and over again for the last two days because I'm not satisfied with how my voice sounds. When I'm slowly losing confidence about the whole thing here's Jimi Jam (one of my main inspirations) telling stories about "blackmail" vocals wow! Exactly what I needed to hear when I needed to hear it. Thank you for this interview.

I fully listened to (and partially watched) both parts whilst cooking in the kitchen over a few days -- enthusiastically. So great to hear informative stuff like this while cooking and cleaning around my place. Thanks for this great content! Jam & Lewis are in the pantheon of superproducers along with Nile Rodgers. The stories that are shared here are incredible, and I learned some new stuff about Janet, ABC and P!NK.

So interesting, articulate, complex & detailed in his story telling and recollection of moments. Exactly like their music. It's researched. The difference in level of language & choice of words used compared to today's "producers" when they get interviewed or make music tells it all... Thank you for laying down the soundtrack to our youths and inspiring us in the game.

54:40 *Jam* & *Lewis* won the *_1986 Grammy_* for *_Producer of the Year,_* when their fellow nominees were: *David Foster, Michael Omartian, Paul Simon, Russ Titelman* & *Steve Winwood.* The only way that they were able to prevail against that staggering list of legendary nominees was due to their remarkable list of very successful production credits over those 12 months, including *_Patti Austin, Cherelle, The Human League, Alexander O'Neal, The S.O.S. This interview is brilliant. And working with Mr. Jimmy Jam and Mr. Terry Lewis would be a dream come true. The fact that they are talented enough to understand your essence and musically express that from conversations, put it in masterful musical form, and help you share yourself and your story to the world in a major way is absolutely fantastic. These gentlemen have made some of the best music ever heard. The way that they can capture or evoke emotions through musical notes and chords, and sonically make it a masterpiece, is a blessing from God. I appreciate these gentlemen. I wish that I could work with them. That's in God's hands. Thank you for this interview. It was very good sir. Thank you for allowing him to speak and express his thoughts and who he is. It was magnificent. Have a good day.

As much as I already know about Jam & Lewis, how is it I’m just realizing the connection between Flyte Tyme and the whole impetuses for their creative freedom being them missing their FLIGHT TIME and being fired from The Time by Prince 🤯. Also, music aside, it’s amazing what two mature, ego-less adults can achieve together. Go figure.
