OMG yes. I went to Subway last week after three years. There was a BOGO and I saw they had Philly cheesesteak. They were horrible. The peppers and the onions were raw and the beef(?) was tough. Ended up throwing the the free one in the garbage.

Jersey Mike's opened in my area a few months ago and lately I've been going there on a weekly basis. I get the Italian sub in giant size. Nothing beats that combination of meats, seasoning, and "juice". And now this video is making me hungry.

The management of a local sub shop will make a big difference in the quality of the sandwiches, regardless of which chain the sandwiches are from. For example, my husband and I have eaten Jimmy John's subs in the past at locations in Indianapolis and the Chicago suburbs with no problems; however, we both got food poisoning from subs I picked up from a new Jimmy John's location in Pontiac, IL earlier this winter.

I had a Jimmy John's somewhat close to me and had sub's delivered a dozen times over two years and was fast delivery. Then all of a sudden they couldn't anymore because I was outside the delivery area but they could across the street (75 feet away). They said it was a strict rule to keep the delivery fast. Even though I said I tip very generous. I was so sad no Jersey Mike's was anywhere near me.

I live 5 minutes from a Jimmy John's and it is often 1-hour plus to get food delivered. Jersey Mike's blows JJ out of the water in every category including taste by a mile. Variety is also limited at Jimmy John's. Study the menu. The sandwiches may have different names but they are limited to a few meats and ingredients. Hands down I would go for Jersey Mike's. Good video I'm just on the other side of the fence on this one.

The info regarding Jersey Mikes birthday reward is not correct. They give you enough points for a regular-sized sandwich. The nice thing about that is that there is no expiration. It used to be that the free sandwich coupon expired the day before your next birthday.

I don't dislike Jimmy Johns and having one just a few minutes from my office means I've eaten there quite a few times. We've also used them to cater events at the office. That said, Jersey Mike's is the better of the two and if I'm within a reasonable distance of both, I will choose JM. Unfortunately, the one closest to me didn't survive the pandemic and the next closest one is quite a drive. Subway .... bleh, it's not great. My daughter is a fan of Subway and yet also prefers Jersey Mike's.

Back in the 90s Jersey Mike's hot subs like the Philly used to have decent portions of meat. By the early 2000s they shrunk the portion size to barely noticeable. I stopped ordering the hot subs for this reason. The cold subs are more affordable, can be tasty with your trimmings if you keep asking for correct amounts, but there is little value there anymore. It's a shame they ruined the Philly cheese steak, that's when I started looking for value elsewhere.

I ain't had Jimmy John's or jersey mikes yet bit I will so subway all I been able enjoy I'm not to picky as I'm living in low income disability so every dollar needs be used cautiously to survive I ve month to month. I am into eating subs from my local Casey's General store. The cost us half of others and more meat I'm told by ppl who've been to other shops mentioned above. I'm ready use doordash to try jersey Mike's but I rs an hour or more drive for delivery for either jj or jm so jm I'll get online in few hour's . Just had giant grilled burrito from. Taco place.
