Thoughts and prayers are not enough. This needs action, and we need people who are willing to step forward. These are real people we are dealing with. This is real people’s lives at stake. People’s friends are dying, imagine how the parents are feeling. I’m so glad that people with voices across the internet are speaking out. It’s not getting better, this needs to stop.

Wikardo Kado you can still be a part of small extracurricular groups like in your neighborhood or church group or whatever. I will definitely do my best to homeschool because this is madness. Your first and foremost role as a parent is to protect your child and if this is how it's going to be then i will find a way. But i do feel the government should be more supportive of homeschooling parents since they are essentially saving money that way they should give homeschooling parents some funding and make it less of a legal hassle to do so. More resources to curricula on government websites, etc.

People have the right to bear arms, but there definitely needs to be boundaries to set so we are not continuously doing acts like these. Having a limit to gun laws for better security need to be met. There should be multiple steps to obtain a gun now. We should be able to have them, but we shouldn't be handing them out to people left and right. We should only have them when necessary, to protect one another. Some people say no to guns in general, but if that's the case, then what are you going to do if a rapist breaks into your house and goes after your children? Are you saying that you shouldn't have a gun then? Again, there just needs to be more rules involved to obtain a firearm.
@thesharinganbeast64786 жыл бұрын
Obviously not good enough. It probably depends from place to place to. It's not like we can ban guns because we need them for protection. But there needs to be some kind of law or added security to be implemented into our society so stuff like this does not happen as frequently as it has been.
@thesharinganbeast64786 жыл бұрын
The mental health background of an individual should always be something to look at before selling the product. I've never bought a gun myself, so I'm not sure if they do that or not. If not, they 100% definitely should because most of the people that cause incidents like these have something psychological going on and aren't mentally well.

TheSharinganBeast 写輪眼獣. We have too many laws already. It shouldn't be illegal to own anything. We also shouldn't be telling other countries that they can't own nukes. Every country has a right to own whatever weapons they want to or need to own. Don't trust the imperial government.

I really don't understand how hard it is to pass sensible gun laws. There are traffic rules and regulations for car ownership to ensure people drive responsibly, so they don't hurt other people. It doesn't mean all cars will be taken away. Is it really that hard to do the same thing for guns?
@dakotawhite17636 жыл бұрын
What laws should there be then?
@Bird41116 жыл бұрын
30 people die every day from driving under the influlence of alcohol. That's a pretty sensible traffic law. How does it keep happening? 🤔
@freerhymin4life6 жыл бұрын
Blake Noeske I'm sure if everyone had free reign to buy and use a car without training or getting a license just like they do for guns, the traffic accident statistic would be a lot higher.
@hyperu26 жыл бұрын
Cute how those rules and regulations only result in five times more death on the roads than from guns annually.
@freerhymin4life6 жыл бұрын
HyperU2 Not really. Ever since those rules have been introduced, accident related deaths have been declining. Not so much for gun related deaths. Not to mention nearly every American has a car, whereas only a portion owns a gun. Naturally, there will be a higher number of car accidents, but proportionally, their rates should be the same. Except they're not. The number of gun-related deaths even surpass the number of vehicle-related deaths in some states. So that should tell you something.

in 1996 We had our final massacre in Australia ,, that's right , ,the FINAL one ! This didn't mean we couldn't own guns , just the BAN of semi automatic rifles / pistols & military guns.. There are potential school shooters throughout our country but the chance of any kid getting their hands on a gun is virtually zero ! God help you all there ....

look it up its called the constitution
@Veselex6 жыл бұрын
America has the second amendment which gives its citizens the right to bear arms to protect themselves if the government ever turns tyrannical. It’s in the constitution which means no legislation can remove it. Also, guns are used for self defense against criminals. Conservatives, the people who don’t want to ban guns, believe that the best way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. Liberals, the people who do want to ban guns, believe that no one should have guns in order to prevent a bad guy from getting a gun. Also people have invest hundreds maybe thousands of dollars into their guns, and if guns are banned then they basically just lost all that money. The government isn’t banning guns because, as stated before, the right to bear arms is in the constitution. Also at the moment most of the government consists of republicans who don’t want to ban guns.

I send my condolences to all the family's and victims of this tragic event. Fact is: This kid who was 17 years old who, by law, can not own a weapon. He took both his Father's .38 special revolver and sawed off shotgun (both illegal for this 17 year old to have). He also made homemade bombs (which again is illegal) and you want to blame the NRA and gun laws which are already in place? Smh. No matter what laws or regulations become in place it will never stop criminals from breaking them. Period.
@j3dr9056 жыл бұрын
Nick Crabb that's not the point. He had easy access to guns and Nikolas Cruz bought his legally
@nickcrabb17246 жыл бұрын
J3dr90 I admit, when parents leave there weapons in an unsecure place (bad parenting) tragedies like this happen. And yes, people with a mental illness shouldn't be allowed to buy guns. But the fact still stands (which is the point); Both situation, under state and federal law, were illegal. Criminals don't care about laws (even if your firearms are unattended) and no matter what regulation/law is passed they still won't follow by it. Just for a fact check: www.ncsl.org/research/civil-and-criminal-justice/possession-of-a-firearm-by-the-mentally-ill.aspx
