Jimmy MALADINA: Charged K1500 HOUR RATE and made K1 MILLION (HE TELLS IT ALL IN UBS INQUIRY)

Jimmy Maladina discussed his involvement in the UBS scandal. He addressed issues regarding his practicing certificate from the early 2000s, where he faced opposition from the Law Society. He justified receiving more than 50% of the fees charged by Pacific Legal Group on a matter, citing his longer involvement since 2013. He mentioned a disagreement with the transaction team over a loan approval related to section 209. His charge out rate in 2013-2014 was between K1,000 to K1,500 per hour. He confirmed that he did not distribute any part of the million Kina (K1,000,000) he received to anyone involved in the transaction.

J Maladina was engaged when PO was the PM. Both him and PO were involved in the NPF Saga. The NPF Report was damning which was widely available to the public. He was engaged in UBS Transaction because he was the brief case man for PM PO. NPF Saga has been repeating itself in another transaction (UBS) 15 years later. He colluded with China Railway Construction Engineering a Chinese State Owned Enterprises where he would receive fees for any PNG Government Contracts awarded. The biggest PNG Government contract CRCE was awarded was the Court Buliding at Waigani for K600 million. How did JM get connected to CRCE and UBS? The answer is obvious, the PM at that time. This is a clear case for IRC to review this individual and his group of companies' tax affairs.

I don't know what came about his NPF case. Here he pops up again. The Ombudsman Commission should look into his conduct assaulting this lady (his wife) in Australia. The Ombudsman Commission should also investigate the property at Bondi Australia was declared in his Annual Statement if it is owned by him. His conduct in abusing this lady is unbecoming of a leader and calls into question his the PNG Government's integrity.
