One of my personal favorites and one of the best records of 1958

On this day in 1958 {March 3rd} Jimmy McCracklin was a guest on the Dick Clark ABC-TV weekday-afternoon program, 'American Bandstand'... At the time his "The Walk" was at #8 on both Billboard's Top 100 & R&B Singles chart, the week before it was at #7 on the Top 100, that was also it's peak position on the chart, and it spent sixteen weeks on the Top 100... Besides "The Walk", the Arkansas native had four other Top 100 records, "Just Got To Know" {#64 in 1962}, "Every Night, Every Day" {#91 in 1965}, "Think" {#95 in 1965}, and "My Answer" {#92 in 1966}... Mr. McCracklin, born James David Walker Jr., passed away at the age of 91 on December 20th, 2012... May he R.I.P.
