What are the odds he was able to find the truck he sold almost 40 years ago and buy it back?? In the near exact same condition no less. I really hope he is able to get something together to use it for Darlington. You can find the hoodie and hat I am wearing on stapletonautoworks.com

@@Stapleton42 Oh no man, so sorry, I by no means meant it like it sounded lol. Probably should have worded that better. I’m a big fan of your channel and have followed for quite a while. Another outstanding job of getting a casual one on one conversation with a true NASCAR legend. I love the non- scripted walk around format. The fact that he wants to use his old hauler to race again shows the no- nonsense kind of guy Jimmy is. I just turned 55, this Era of racing is what I remember as a kid. Happy holidays from northern California.

Mr. Means is one of the greatest I have ever heard stories of back when I got into racing in the early 90s. Some of his little tricks like the intake pieces that I think he called sliders. The adjustments that would happen on track at the super speedway such as the hydraulic rear spoiler lol. This video brings back some awesome memories. At 36 years old and having some sponsor help for my sprint car racing I would love to help him get the truck together and take a car to race Darlington in 2023

You wouldn’t need a race car motor to get it home. 366 is a solid puller. 4 rings pulling heat off pistons. Powered many school buses when I was a kid. He was right, I slept on a few package trays. I remember the first time I crawled up to get on the one in my stepdads convertible and found the trunk. 😂
